I don't know why but my HPM-82 sounds less bassy than my HPM-70 even with megabass turned on. other than that they sound the same(at least in my ears) but for better useability get the HPM-82 as we all know it has the usefu remote control(only sucks that seeking of tracks using the << & >> buttons on the headset is not possible
