I have a sony ericson k800i unit and tried several days setting up the WAP,GPRS and MMS connection.
My best interest here is to use the phone for Yahoo messenger and for mobile surfing...
Can any body please assist a step by step procedure...
Please take note: I already called the smart support but they are no help...I also receive the settings but it doesn't work as well..not sure if it is on the IP or if the k800i unit internet connection needs to be open by the manufacturer.

Well the anyone who can help you configuring your phone for GPRS and MMS is your operator, or someone from your country using the same operator which has already configured
phone for GPRS and MMS...

I would prefer a manual set up rather than automatic set up because it sucks and it doesn't work...huhuhu

. Your operator is the one who needs to give you the parameters or set up the phone for you

Problem is not all providers have the correct settings in all the parameters. I'm facing the same issue with my provider; they have settings for w810i but not correct for k850i more settings needed on the latter. The se auto configurator also is not working and i created a new thread on that.
