Hi all,
Right, im getting myself a ipod touch - any advice on the best place to buy?
more importantly tho, whats the differece between the ones with software updates and without them...... obviously its the updates, but what i mean is how essential is that?
also, anyone selling one?

it was a returned unit - i dont care tho - its mint
and i get 1 years warrenty....
in all fairness my local john lewis had loads there - 8gigs, 16gig... nanos.... all kinds for a good price too
even DSLR's...... £100 off etc....... i had to pick, touch or DSLR...... hmmmmm.....
i love this thing tho

what software version is it running atm? Also are you interested in jailbreaking it (ie hacking it) so you can install games, themes and more? Or are you just happy with it being a pucker music/video player and web browser?

the touch is such a good bit of kit... you wont be disappointed with it. Personally i did find that eventually i grew a little bored with the things you can install on it, and was just using it for the normal things music etc.
Impressed with the price you got it for. Bargain!
Also on the case side of things - i got a Belkin silicone case for mine which came with a screen protector for about £12. Personal preference though...there are some nice leather cases available, but i think they just detract away from its slimness

yep, three sizes of ear things......
i personally wouldnt complain about them - especially for a tenner - much better than the standard ipod ones......
honestly, unless you wanna pay £30-£40+ on sennizers id go for it

a good little tip if you didnt know: if you double press the home button when music is playing it pops up with a little window so you can pause/play skip track etc easily without having to go back in to 'music'

ermm i'm not entirely sure, but i think you might have to do it through itunes. The mail and maps apps are cool and very handy!

To get the latest version 2 software update you must have an itunes store account. Just access the itunes store through itunes and you can purchase the upgrade there.
The upgrade only costs around £5.99 now, it was £20
