Help! my k790a freezes! - Esato archive

I just got my k790a today and it worked great...or so I thought. After charging the phone and setting it up, I noticed that the phone locks itself up. It happens whenever the phone goes into stand by. The screen will dim and the clock will show, but when I go to push buttons to get it going again, it does nothing. The time even stays the same and doesn't change.

This is really annoying. I never had problems with my w810i and didn't expect to have any with this k790a I bought refurbished from ebay.

Each time it freezes, I have to remove the battery and restart it. I searched for an update, but it says that I have the latest. The settings say that its R1GB001.

This does this continually and I hope I don't have to do a master reset. I haven't loaded anything on it yet, but I kinda like the games it came with.

Might be a firmware issue.
Try flashing it with XS++, i think they support it.

Would that be necessary? The phone is already unlocked and I've never flashed any phone before. I don't want to risk totally screwing the phone up and not being able to exchange it from they buyer.
