I need to arrive at a job interview in London this Thursday at 1400 hours.

The nearest Underground stations are King's Cross/ Holburn/ Chancery Lane.

Question is: where should I fly to in order to find it most conveniently and how long will it take to travel from the airport into the city center?

I will be flying from Edinburgh (maybe Glasgow if it makes things simpler).

Heathrow to kings cross on the tube takes about 45 minutes. Gatwick to Kings cross on the Thameslink is maybe a little quicker if I remember correctly.

Heathrow to Paddington is 15 mins by Heathrow Express if I'm not mistaken..

I would like to know how I could do a 2 day trip without staying the night.....

What was your example?

Well, I am going to France and the Eurostar leaves same time as your interview starts.

By being there the night before there is no rush to get from the airport to the tube station so if a bag goes astray you aren't rushing e.g.

£5 a pint and £9 for a cheese sandwich, that's my example!

Nah, that was in the Heathrow Hilton!

Mrs Cyco is from South Kensington so we always head that way when we're in London. Earls court, Soho, Chinatown etc. There are some very nice (but reasonably priced!) shops, bars and restaurants if you hunt them down.
