Mine has got stuck in the Ipodscreen and I can't go to the home screen or even turn it off. So now I play the music and hope the battery is empty soon. Quite annoying that you cant restart it in anyway.

@Leks try holding the sleep button and then the home button til the apple logo appears. That should restart it

I got my iphone deliverd this morning from CPW.
Its unactivated at the minute as ive not even tried to activate yet.
Has the contract started now?....or does the contract start as soon as i activate?
Say if i was to activate the o2 sim in 2 weeks time is that when the contract starts or as the contract already started when i orderd?
If its not started until i activate....couldnt i NOT activate and then wait for a jailbreak solution and use a o2 payg sim? ...bypassing the contract like the original iphone.

I simply went to an apple store shop, and because im only 17 i cant pay for the contract myself because i dont have a job so i cant go on contract. And i basically said to the girl in store i would like to purchase the 16GB but i cant do a contract, so cani take it home and get my mum or dad to activate it. And she said let me go ask. and i stopped her at that point and i said how about u come with me and ill take you out to dinner after? and she said yee. i paid my 159 and went.

Typical they plan to put it on Pay and go around Christmas when you probably cant get one as they will sell out in 5 mins. Pay and go gets 2nd best as normal. I read it was coming soon i hardly call Christmas soon.

I was told when I got mine that the White cover will be available in apple store and you can swap the back cover for £20 when they released it soon !

Yes its possible, depending what your main email account is IMAP or POP you can also set ME to check your account.

Bringing up some apps on iphone 3g is a bit slower than on iphone but yu gotta love that 3g!
When I played with one on Friday I noticed that the screen had a bit of friction to it. Was that just because it was new and didnt have enough finger grease yet?

Well looking through E-Bay there are quite a few 3G iPhones for sale both Black and White 16GB with buy it now prices of around $750.
Obviously some people are using there upgrades @$199 and keeping there V1 iPhones to use and selling the 3G's to make money.
There are a couple of links saying the Dev team have cracked the 3G iPhone and will release Pwnage for it in a few days time.
Which i suppose looks good for when 02 eventually release them on PAYG.

£1,000 + for an iPhone people are taking the P*ss. By next week the prices will have dropped to half that, and supply from Taiwan will replenish depleted stock in stores.
I advise anyone thinking of getting one to wait a week or two save you a few hundred if not thousands.

tmobile has solo 15 (sim only 1 month rolling contract) with 350 minutes and 650 texts and if you add the £12 web'n'walk pro which has fair use data of 3gb + 9000+ wifi hotspots in uk and 300 minutes global roaming wifi
so for £27/month you get a pretty good package and reasonably comparable to the £35 o2 plan (which has 150 more minutes but 150 less texts)

Hello Guys..Have not posted here for a while but just a few lines to help people out regarding supply of the Iphone 3g
I got mine from Italy on Friday while there on business..Unlocked, Black, 16 Giga.
I just walked into a TIM center..They asked for my passport and my credit card..they used a fake Italian address to register the sim card which was part of the package and that was it..No further questions asked..
The phone is unlocked and opereating perfectly in Greece now with a vodafone sim card...
Total price Euro 569 as adverised all over Europe..
So please wait and do not fork out big money right now..It will soon be freely available across Europe unlocked..
The only catch is they dont sell you more than one..at the moment..

I got it from the Central TIM center in Bergamo (Near Milan)..But you can just buy it from any big TIM centre all over Italy...As long as they have it in stock..
European law does not allow comanies to bind a product to a monopolistic service..they have to sell the product alone..Some operators are keeping it hush hush as they will try to get in as many contracts as possible..
