Need Help or I'll go insane

hello there I'm a newbie here..
and I'd have a problem with my t68i

ok here I go :

I took the sim card out of me phone and then when i put it back and turned it on i've got this message "insert sim card" I think I've damaged the sim , cause I used a knife to take it out...

how can I know if I damaged the sim?

Try to insert it into another phone... If it won't work - u probably killed it
