i never saw this moment so close. now it is(not 100% sure), i feel a little sad. i've made good friends here and have spent so good times, but i dont feel like leaving them.
i have a lot of freedom and facilities(permissions) and i know i wont have any of them in case i shift.
what do you guys say?

I've been an IT contractor most of my working life which means in the early days I changed company every 3 months, indeed I changed country every 3 months too.
lately, having a family and responsibilities etc, I tend to choose longer contracts such as 6-12 months or more
at the end of the day a job is a job in my opinion. If you make friends at those jobs and they stick with you when you move on then they are true friends. If they don't well then perhaps it doesn't matter so much anyway
I have many friends from many locations that I have been but not all friends I had at each place are still in contact
don't be afraid. if its time for you to move on be it for career advancement or whatever, then go for it!

@masseur: thanks, mate. that's helped me a lot. i've told this to some of my friends and they've said that i should go for it. also, the job is on a telecommunication company(Wind Telecom). it is new in Dominican Republic(less than 5 months). i like the idea of working in these kind of companies because it's communication(internet, cable and ip phones). i think i'll go for it.
cheers
anyone else?

telecoms is good. I did a long contract for Cable and Wireless in London for their Carribean operations (customer support, billing and provisioning) and it was alot of fun... good luck!

go for it mate, staying put limits your development and can make you a little stagnant.
a change is good every so often or now and then.
