Yesterday i got a new Sony Ericsson W910 and thought it was rubbish i took it back and got the new LGK510 and its fantastic. The phone has a very good 3 mega pixel camera with flash and auto focas with video at 320x240 new touch sensitive keys which are spaced well a breeze to use menus are so much better and faster. It has fantastic build all metal and great display too which is tempered glass. In all this phone has surprised me it is truly amazing and some phone companies have something to learn from LG

You can exchange once only with pre pay. Im so glad i did. Although this phone has no 3g i dont care its fantastic. I love sweeping my finger fast along the touch keys which makes browsing the web easier and menus too. The call quality is loud and clear and getting a signal is solid than any phone i ever had. Music player is great with ten settings for sound. Love this phone. Read review on GSM ARENA.

Woman in CPW said they dont get many returns on LG phones only the days of the Chocolate and early Shines. She said they get more returns on SE. That was her saying way before i bought it. Great phone.

The new menus are great and easy and now can use anything as message alert. I got the grey colour the red was a bit over the top. You would be surprised with their phones now its great and so easy. Im seriously sick of poor Sony Ericsson phones. Just used music player and its great sound has volume control in the phones wire too. This phone is nothing like a Samsung at all.

Since the Viewty, LG have been producing some good devices. I found the UI on the Viewty very user friendly, and a well featured handset. Really want to have a go with the new KF750 when it hits the shelves, looks awesome!

Only thing i hate about this phone is the message alert is a little quiet though the phone is loud enough when it rings and vibrate is strong. Yes LG certainly have caught up lately. Getting reception on this phone is so strong too which pleases me it never fluctuates at all.

Yes i see your point but from my past experiences with Samsung phones this new LG is a far cry from what they ever were everything about this phone is so much better. No doubt too Samsung has changed for the better too im sure perhaps they both use the same or similar software and hardware. But it is much better than what some people see as Samsung copies. I was out testing camera today put it on pc and its the sharpest camera i have used so far on a phone with phones i have had. It is very good.

As they are both from Korea yes they have similar things. But using this LG its quite different and better and easier than some Samsung phones. No phone is perfect. I was testing camera in dark last night the led flash is so bright works well. The browser using edge is faster than my old Nokia and was happy when google mail application and opera browser worked. There are some things i hate but more pros than cons. Never thought myself using touch sensitive buttons but this one is wonderfully easy and brisk

What are the downsides? I too have a W910i and want a change. I've only had SE phones so not sure what to go for next. I'm thinking about the W960i.

Downsides are not much. When texting and changing between t9 and normal input its slightly fiddly but nothing major. I said previously that message alert was not loud it is i just missed the message alert volume. Lol. Camera is slow in low light otherwise its all pros. Really not much i can say thats bad about this phone.

I forgot to mention the camera when taking macro pictures automatically goes into macro when taking a close up. You dont have to go into camera menu when you take close ups which is a nice handy touch. Pictures are so bright and sharp on pc.

LG must have improved considerably recently, I tried a shine and took it back it was truly awful couldn't get on with the UI. Their recent releases do look good, but I'd have to have a good play before I took the plunge.

Yes i heard about the Shine phone it had bad software. From what i can see everything has been improved in their phones they must have listened to complaints from people. They must have improved their software too cos its very stable this phone.

Not only is the menus and software far better than previous phones its sexier than the Shine. In fact this phone is so sexy ya cant put it down cant resist holding it. When its closed it looks amazing.

Sorry i cant post pictures i have pc but no internet on it. And yes it does take any headphone connection which is good as music player has great clean crisp sound.

I so wish i could post some pics. I am fussy about picture quality and i notice bad things in a picture so when i say the pics are good then thats it they are. In daylight they are bright clear crisp sharp with great colour. It has an image stabilizer but indoors you still gotta keep a steady hand. Camera is pretty speedy only sometimes takes few seconds but not much shutter lag at all. I would say its sharper than say the K800i when pictures are taken outside or definately on a par with it. Video is QVGA.

Oh my god people my LG phone died on me. I went back into store and they said we can only exchange for same phone as i already had swap. I refused and in the end after i spoke with the manager they backed down. I swapped back to my old faithful Nokia. I got 6500 Classic which is very nice. The LG kept freezing when using camera and switching off during internet shame as it was such a lovely great phone. Though see what you can achieve in shops when you dont back down. Im happy.

I forgot to say that when i was in the store i threatened them saying i was going to broadcast on the radio what a bad company Carphone is. I would have done too if i never got my way i know of Ed Doolan on Radio WM in the midlands who deals with customer complaints and everything he does is always successful. He gets companies to back down and takes no nonsense. Anyway just listening to music player on Nokia 6500 Classic and its an incredible sounding player im amazed. Its not the most amazing phone going but its enough for now until few months time when i can afford something better. I was an idiot i should never have gone for LG i was warned about them their phones are all form and no function. And they are known to break down. Oh dear.
