Can anyone point me in the right direction to create my own theme - a nice simple one?

I have my teams club logo and want to use that as the background and wallpaper - and also change the buttons a little. is it possible?

I'm not a complete noob, just never done this kind of thing before - I have googled, but thought someone here could help!
