I saw them being sold for $13 at AT&T Wireless stores in NYC. I bought might awhile ago from a dude on Ebay for $9. He's also selling laser pointer attachments (same form factor as Blue Torch).

i got them both, there both totally pointless accessories but they are fun?

Posted by Dj Boyi
I dont think the torch is pointless cus if my electric or gas runs out in the night i ave to go into a dark allyway to press the emergency button :-D

Posted by Superluminova
yeah but a really torch is much brighter and easier to use.

Posted by Dj Boyi
It's bright enough tho and i usually always got my phone in my pocket anyway :-)

Posted by Dj Boyi
Oh and at no extra battery cost neither, just wondering how long the bulb will last, any idea?

Posted by mkt
It's a diode, so most probably more then phone....

Posted by doubleduh
I also have one, bought it at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for about €9

Posted by Dj Boyi
Nice one :-D,whatever a diode is,but who cares,if it will last longer than the phone :-D

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Look at your phone. See the blinking light ? Well that is a diode :-)

Posted by wrecked_porsche
Oh, and regarding the original post. U left out R520 :-(

The Blue Torch IBT-20 costs $7 in US from the SE website. The shipping is around 6$ more. I have done a quick review with pictures etc :

I imagine they both work fine with the P800 as well since they just use the phones power leads?

Hey! I' ll buy it today. My friends from Ericssonclub in Moscow send this device in Saint-Petersburg for me and other people. I saw it before, it's great , like ILP-20 (Laser Pointer) , but in SPB IBT-20 & ILP-20 are too expensive, more than 30$ 8((( And in Moscow - 10-11$ ...

cool how can i get it .

man. that light is pretty strong. what about the laser pointer? is that worth it too?

Posted by SuperRob
I've got both the Blue Torch and the Laser Pointer. The Blue Torch is VERY bright, but I'm not sure that I like that it's always on as long as it's connected to the phone. However, the battery usage is negligable ... there was no reduction in standby time with over an hour of usage.

The Laser Pointer is neat, and has an on/off button. I primarily use it for teasing my beagle, which is mean, but fun.

I have the cords connected to the same lanyard as my MCA-25, so they all hang around my neck together.

can you control these gadgets from the phone? does the phone display what attachhment i is on? do you switchh it on or off somewhere on the phone? or is it just some cr*p hanging under the phone and consuming that juice the battery has?

Posted by Jison
No control what so ever.
Just hanging under the fone

Ì have the blue torch too. It is a realy cool, but useless toy.

Posted by mscarrot
Useless......hhmmm well just depends on a situation that you uguently need a torch......
I like my mini torch a lot....and used it also...

But ok, most of the time useless, but sometimes nice to have and Ultra cool !!!!!!!!!
