Hi
I have a number of questions regarding the SE K850i I was hoping people could answer:
1. I want to set google up as a home page for the internet on my phone. But so far altering the home page on the O2 Active and Internet options page will only change the WAP home page. And to get to this I need to first go into 'Internet' and then press 'options' and then 'goto' and then finally 'wap'. Which is a bit of a pain and no shortcut to it can seem be set. Is there an easier way?
2. I tried to take some pictures of a band playing in a darkish club but none of them came out. Yet with my old SE K810i (which also has a Xeon flash) in the same circumstances would have been able to produce clear photos. What option do I need to select to at least get a semi decent photo?
3. Just about every time I answer this phone my hand accidentally presses the speaker icon and I put my caller on speaker phone before answering. Is there any way to turn off this function (locking the phone doesn't turn off this)?
P.S I haven't done any firmware updates on my phone so I don't know if any of these problems have been fixed?

1. It seems your phone is 02 branded, so you have some restrictions. You could debrand it and set generic firmware on it, so you have the original stuff (no operator stuff). But this will cost you a few bucks, you can do it via : Wotanserver of Kulankendi.
2. My phone took terrible pictures when it had the first firmware on it, the flash came too late or early. Updating it to the latest firmware should do the trick!
3. Cant help you with this one, never had this problem before!

Thanks for your replies. I just I'll just have to live with problems 1 and 3 (I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of debranding the phone). I'll give the firmware update a go for problem 2.

Good luck flashing your phone,
however I recommend you debrand your phone, this way you get the updates released by SEUS earlier and you can get rid of the operatuf stuff!

Hi, I've found that flash photo's on my K850 are still no where near as good as my old K800. Sometimes you get an OK one, mostly just rubbish. If fact, a lot of the time I switch the flash off to get a picture at all. When I first got it the flash timing was out completely, now I have newer FW but it’s still not completely fixed. It's one of the big disappointments with the K850 as a Xenon flash gave ot the edge over other phone.

3> Only possible suggestion is to NOT keep the phone 'pressed up' against your face like your used to with other phones. Just the earpiece pressed to your ear. Firmware will not change this.

It isn't my face activating the speaker its where I pull the phone out of my pocket an my finger brushes the speaker icon (which is the right soft key).

NP. I've managed to find a work around for problem 1. Namely I've installed Opera Mini and then set up a shortcut to activate it, so now theres no need to mess around pressing multiple buttons to bring up my homepage.
I'll attempt the firmware update today. Is there any list that describes what issues the firmware has fixed?
