I like the look of the back of the 3G iPhone - although the small camera lens doesn't look like it will offer much of an improvement on the original iPhone's photo quality imo.

I was wondering about hsdpa and though it hasn't been mentioned specifically, the times quoted between EDGE and 3g is about 3x which would equate to a 1mbit connection, which suggests hsdpa

It's not about which phone is better... its about who can grab the publics/customers attention most!

Hi all,
Well the iPhone 2.0 Firmware looks very good and adds virtually all anyone could want. The MobileMe also looks to be good value at $99 per year, although i am interested to see if your desktop needs to be running all the time for synchronization to work.
Disappointing IMO is only 3G and no HSDPA and although they claim 3G is 2.4x faster than Edge i thought the difference was less than that. Also they quoted difference between 3G and WiFi also doesn't add up either IMO.
As HSDPA is a fast as WiFi or even faster but 3G is way behind WiFi speeds so i can't agree with what they say there.
Same goes for the pop taken at the N95 being slower as the N95 would just use HSDPA instead of just 3G and that is seriously faster. So irrespective of how fast the iPhone processor and device is the N95 using HSDPA is much much faster.
As for the prices well with The iPhone 3G being available from July 11th in 22 countries and the maximum price around the world is $199 USD for the 8GB and $299 for the 16GB.
I would say if those prices convert straight to pounds they are very cheap. No mention at all about if in the UK it will still be a 02 exclusive or not. So really how long and if it can be Jail broken or not will i think be of much interest for many.

Alot of questions unanswered really but for the price i'm inclined to think it'll still be contract with o2 only, they lowered the initial cost to lure people in, nothing mentioned about existing customers either.
