MMS Problems on SE w960

I have just moved my Vodafone account from a SE 630i to a SE960i and since doing so have had problems with sending/receiving MMS.

I could not send/receive MMS for a couple of days (they got stuck in the outbox saying that access to my MMS settings were denied). The occasional MMS was being received however, which was irritating. Countless calls to Vodafone, and countless changes of MMS and internet settings seem have got me nowhere. I did had 1 or 2 days of being able to receive/send messages (though this was erratic and not all of them got through) but it seems to have gone off again. I am now back to not being able to do either. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it! I have not changed any settings.

Today we tried a different SIM card in the w960 and successfully sent a message from it, which subsequently did NOT get received by my original SIM. From this Vodafone told me that it is not the handset at fault, and Vodafone are sending me out a new Sim card. They say my old SIM may have a fault. *Sigh*

I have lost all faith in Vodafone's advice, and am wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, and if, indeed it COULD be a SIM card fault, or are they just fobbing me off with another solution which may or may not work? I've had this SIM since around 2004, and I was sending/receiving MMS totally fine on my old SE.

Any shared woes?
