I didn't think I had any serious phobia's, until now. I realized they've made a phobia for me and many others including the majority of Esationians. It's Nomophobia, Nomophobia is the fear of being out of mobile phone contact. If my left pocket is empty, I'll start patting my pockets down in-case I've put my phone in the wrong pocket, and if I've not got it I get a feeling of dread and anxiousness.
Dose anyone else here suffer this problem, and what lengths will you go to to resolve it?

Yes i do i cannot go anywhere without my phone. My dad says to me why bother with a mobile if someone wants to speak to me they can speak to me on the landline. I said DAD YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I NEED MY MOBILE. How did i ever function without it before i cant even remember. I only ever forgot my mobile once when i went out to work once and all day i had withdrawal symptoms. When i got home nobody had called me. Lol.

Having got my first mobile 21 years ago now, I can honestly say that not a day has past where I didn't have a mobile with me. I fact its just like my Amex... I never leaving home without it!
stragely though, I have prepared for being forgetful and have a phone always in my office desk... just in case!
I don't think I'm fearful of being without a mobile though as my routine of leaving the house always includes picking up a mobile or two

Well the word "phobia" (or "phobos") does mean fear. So technically, every fear is a phobia.

While my phones (usually one smartphone and one dumbphone) are an essential part of my daily life, I do not have this phobia of going without. I won't be a slave to anything.
I've even deliberately denied myself of them for certain periods. If I ever have to go without them, hey - life goes on!

I've left my phone at home a few times, and the worst thing for me is not being able to message the wife during the day, or at least let her know my phone isn't with me! If she knows my phone is at home, I will relax, and not having a phone at work doesn't bother me too much (too busy to use the phone, anyway - we don't get any breaks during our 12-hour shifts!)
