yup a contract is needed
quidco pays out 100 quid (comission) to every o2 contract.
register and they take 5 quid admin fee per year. (they only take it from the comission)

Bargain if you looking for a contract then, still £169 isn't bad either.

tis a much better price then compared to the launch price but i'm still not sure i'd get on with the phone. Had a play wit one in cpw a few days ago and jus started to lose patience wit it. Don't know if its because i'm too used to my W960 now or summit.

Ah another phone not worth the money or hype. About time though.

more on this now from engadget

good news
getting slightly cheaper
Posted by Daedalus85
Just to add, this is ONLY until 1st July, we do not know whats going to happen after that point.
And, the £100 discount only affects the 8GB model, possibly to phase it out so when the offers gone, they'll prolly make the 16GB a little cheaper than it is now, and maybe the June/July announcement will just be a 32GB version and/or the 2.0 software update.
Speaking of the update, the general opinion of myself and a few collegues is that it won't be the 3G iPhone, but more likely the 2.0 software update (thus making it the iPhone 2, apparently).

nice getting one on friday

Hmm! too bad to those who own the 16gig iphone because
This offer does not include the 16git iphone. It remains £329
if Iam not mistaken. So take note of that, only 8gig.

confirmation
£100 off the 8gb iPhone until 1st June

I seen them putting posters up for this in CPW in Newquay yesterday. They cant be selling as many as they wished for if they are doing this. Had a feeling it would happen though. I dont like this phone except for the fantastic screen and touch interface looks smooth but thats all i can say.

probably as expected when this price drop was announced...
8GB iPhone and iPod touch reach end-of-life, at least in the UK

they are clearing stock for new model.
I got 200 quid vouchers for cpw today due to the recent drop in price
pretty sweet
