Why does SE not release latest firmware updates for generic k850's over the air?

Just an observation,i tried 2 do firmware update from my handset, but i keep gettin message that i have latest firmware. The version of software is R1CA037,date is 12th oct 2007, which is exactly 6months ago!!! Please can someone tell me why SE have the facility but don't release updates!! It doesn't make sense. Also i'm aware u can update by Da Vinci or Seus, but don't SE trust any of these updates that they won't release 2 over the air? I've been a staunch SE fan, owning previous models such as k700,t650,w800,k800 & now k850. This is 1st SE that i've had issues with. Problems include, slow menu, camera openin that can b described as temperamental at best!! Constant crashin, i could go on but has been mentioned all before!! Is this worst SE fone ever? I'm v disillusioned.SE took so long 2 release fone (i get free upgrade every 11mths with t mobile, which i could have exercised last june) instead had 2 wait til october!! How is it possible 4 a so called large professional company 2 do this 2 loyal customers??

No updates via FOTA would be my last concern..
And i don't see why you are still on R1CA037.. R1EA has been out for 2 months and just this week R1EA037 has been released

Cheers mate 4 the reply, u say that the latest firmware has been released? I'm in UK, can u confirm when this is released on FOTA? I have just tried again 2 update from fone and still gettin msg that i have latest firmware? Alas this is the only means i have 2 update..

FOTA doesn't get any updates (well not from my experience)

its better just to use SEUS on the pc works better, quicker and cheaper

im in uk, got generic k850 just updated from R1EA031 to R1EA037

Hi i am in the uk,have k850i on orange uk,phone came with RICA037. when i used phone for update it has given new update RIEC 001,which i think is an orange only update,the homepage is now disabled (tells me it uses too much memory) even if i have a 4GB m2 memory,is this an emprovement on other updates? thanks
