The volume of each track in a MIDI (polyphonic) file can be set individually. So the best way to maximise the sound level is to open the file in a MIDI editor on your PC and ensure the level for each of the tracks is at the maximum.
If you do a search for 'midi sequencer' or 'midi editor' you will find some good programs, maybe even some freeware.

I use Anvil Studio (which has a free version) to edit my MIDI files. The address is:
http://www.anvilstudio.com/
Once you have opened a MIDI in Anvil Studio, you will see a volume slider next to each track. Slide each one to the maximum to ensure it is played at the maximum volume on your T300.

So did you tried it? Is it better now?

Anvil was abit weird to use, so i tried cakewalk instead......now i can up the volume of the midi to vol 127 which is the max.
The loudness of the midi still depends on the instrument used i suppose because at max volume some instruments still sound pretty soft.

That implies that Anvil doesn't let you increase it to the maximum volume - but it does. The maximum in Anvil is '100', and this is the same as the maximum in Cakewalk, which is called '127'.

So, now poly are enough loud to ear calls when your phone's in your pocket ???

Personally I don't have a problem hearing the polyphonic ringtones whilst the phone is in my pocket, but I understand that many people do. Apart from ensuring that the levels in the MIDI file itself are at their maximum, I'm not sure that anything can be done.
A firmware update _may_ fix the problem, but I assume that this may be limited by the hardware i.e. sounds will distort if played louder than the current maximum level.

Well its definitely louder than before but but not as loud as i would like it to be. So i still switch on vibrating mode hah.
