This is a linotype machine. They used them for several hundred years up to around the 1970s for printing newspapers and books, etc. Really awesome machine to see running.
Taken with my Sony DSC-T2 btw.

Nah its at a museum in my town. They had it working for us when we visited. No, we use modern day printing techniques with computers lol.
