firstly pick out the song you would like to play and set it as ringtone secondly i suggest you put the ring volume as shortcut to the left button (that what i do you don't need to do it just to access it easily) press the pause play button (play any song through the walkman) and while the song is playing you press it left button to go to ringtone volume and the bring it down and then bring the level back up to highest and them the song should start playing very very loud and then just press the walkman button (so you won't interfere with the volume cause it will restart the song) and you'll have a loud phone please not that i have only got it to work on the w800 and w800i

I have been doing this since more than 2.5yr now with my bro's W800 (and my K750 before that)... I had first discovered this trick with P900 some 5yrs back...
So nothing new dude...
And you don't need to do so much. Just set a song as ringtone. Go to volume and then move it down and then up to max vol.
Another trick, play a song in walkman player and set it as ringtone too. Now without pausing the song in walkman player go to volume and move the bar down and up again. The song will start playing at ringtone. Press the walkman button and go to equiliser and move the middle and second last bar to the max level. You will notice an even higher volume.
Even more by putting ur phone on a table.
