UNBLOCK K850i.Can it be done?

Friend of mine has got a K850i on O2... He came in to financial probs & cancelled the contract 2mths into it, If o2 BLOCK the phone would it be possible to use anything to UNBLOCK it???

also, with it having the new security it will be harder to change it but its highly illegal in the UK anyway
