As my download speed is horrible as because i am on dialup. so it takes 7 hours to download 114MB of data while update process of Nokia N95. so if though i charge to full before updating after 5 hours i have 3 bar left of charge. So my question is if i plug in the charge while update process does it will create problem? pls share ur view and let me know if someone updated plugging in charger while updating firmware successfully?

Keeping the charger plugged in whilst updating is recommended. You'll find that when you run NSU, it asks you to plug the charger in anyway.

As said by the previous poster Nokia recommends that you have it plugged into the charger whilst updating and this is for a good reason if your battery runs out during the process it is very likely you will have bricked your phone.

I have no idea about starting to charge during the update process as it will come up with the battery charging message and may well screw up the update or and your phone. I doubt anyone else will of either as most would of had it plugged and charging before starting the update as advised.

Having re read your post it appears you haven't actually done this yet so the simple answer is don't risk it just plug it before starting the update. I can't see why you wouldn't want to do what Nokia advise and want to risk your devcie all for the sake of not plugging it in, sorry but it really makes no sense.

u didnt get my point. i charged upto full before updating. now it is downloading the updating of 114MB among which 50MB has been downloaded. By the mean time 3 hours gone and i have 3 bar charge left. So by the end of downloading and updating which is i think 3 hours later there will be no charge. So what i will do now?
will i discontinue recharge the mobile and start over again or i can just plug in the charger while updating the process? pls will u help? i think u now got my point.

OK i did read it right the first time then, if it has only downloaded 50% then it hasn't started to write to the phone yet cancel it if you can. if not plug the charger in and hopefully as it is not writing to the phone yet it will be OK

So it is not recommended to charge while updating right?
so i think its best to start all over again by closing nokia software updater as it have only downloading the soft after detecting the phone not reallu updating the phone. after completing the download the phone will be updating right? so i can discontinue updating?

No it's the opposite you should have it plugged in and charging whilst updating to ensure that you don't get a dead battery and brick the phone. Especially if you are using dial up that is going to take so long it is a must do, if you can cancel it and start again with the phone plugged in and charging as then it doesn't matter how long it takes it will be safe.
Just do what Nokia advise and you can't go wrong don't and you risk your phones safety.
