Woah woah woah, lets stop for a second.

I can tell you now that no, they won't replace it. You have a warranty, therefore all your legally entitled to is repairs. If O2 want to replace it, thats their call.

So I'm telling you now, chances are no, you can't just swan in there and expect a replacement because it's gone a bit faulty or you're bored of it, doesn't work like that I'm afraid.

It'll get sent off for repair, like every other phone retailer, and it'll come back repaired or replaced.

I hate it when people assume you'll just get given a new one, like that makes business sense...

im not bored of it(well i kinda am but thats not the reason im sending it off). its got alot of fualts and iv heard of alot of people getting it replaced. so what do you thinks my best option? should i call o2 tommorow or...?

Posted by Daedalus85
I don't think your getting me, they don't just give our free replacements willy nilly, they'd go bankrupt, don't you think?

They'll repair it, and personally no, we've had a minimal number of the phones go faulty, so I highly doubt they'd replace it. The might, but it's not likely.

If you call them, they won't do anything, they'll ask you to bring it in store to be sent away for repair, simple as really.

IF they tell you over the phone your local store can reflash it or fix it in store, please, shoot them for me, or tell them what a bunch of pricks they are. If I get one more customer come in saying customer services have told them we can sort out software faults, I'm going to go down to the call centre and shove the f-ing phone up their arse! lol

hahaha

so they send it for repiar and i get it back in 2 months or so. so im paying £70 for not having a phone in the time its sent away. its not really worth it is it?

thanks for your help mate

real madrid just lost at home... suckers

k850, minimal no. of faults? are you takign the piss......the amount of people i know of who've had faults is unbelievable, even the manager at the cpw i bought mine from told me they'd had tons of returns

and @ OP......they could replace it.....will probably depend when you bought it, CPW replaced mine 3 times

lol daedlus is right btw. but btw,, if u got the handset frm o2 online, i.e they sent it out to you. you can get a diff model, but it will be a diff refurb model.

you have to have at least 4 faulty handsets of the same model, including the original before they consider a diff refurb model.

so if you really want another model and you got it from o2 online, you may be waiting a while lol

ALEX most faults with the K850 is solved with software updates, and yeah u can get a while u wait phone from o2 store, if u put a deposit of 20 or 25 pound down

on the 4 k850i's i had.....all had hardware faults....one had a software fault aswell lol

Alex, I'm just saying, I've hardly seen any, don't shoot me because I haven't been trapsing around looking for faulty K850i's.

No you won't wait 2 months for it to be away, and no you won't pay £70 for it, at no point did I say any of that. It takes 7 to 14 days, and they will offer you a loan phone for a £25 deposit WHICH YOU GET BACK WHEN YOU BRING THE PHONE BACK. Need to make that clear, you won't believe how many people go balistic when you say it's £25. It'll be a crumby old phone, but if you want it repaired, it's like it or lump it, simple as that.

Well, see no evil, hear no evil etc, thats my motto lol

If the phone is within 30 days of purchase then they are obliged to replace the phone at your request if you can prove a fault with the phone caused by manufacturing fault. Afetr 30 days they are most likely to send the phone off for repair. You should take it back to the place that you purchased the phone. Most phone shops will give you a temporary phone to use while yours is away for repair, although its normally a rubbish phone.

What I meant it, jokingly, if I don't hear about it I don't see it.

It's easier to understand if you know the saying. Look it up on Wiki
