Made in China/Finland nokia any difference?

I want to buy a nokia N82 and the guy I was buying it from said that th the phone is made in China. I told him I don't want the phone anymore. Did I make a mistake? Is there really no difference between items made in China/Finland?

officially ther sint, but i would also prefer a european made fone.

I never ever seen a Nokia made anywhere except Europe.

I've seen several N95's (real ones, no cheap copies), which were made in China
