I have no idea what phone to get....i dont want one of those windows mobile type things really......i just want soemthing good that i havent had before
things i was thinking about:
N95 8GB(bit pricey)
G600(depreciate quickly so if i dont like it im stuck)
w580(bit basic but looks sooo nice)
G800(cant make your own themes like g600 and i f**kin hate samsung menus)

i think that the w960 would be a good bet, but it may be a bit over budget

even if a g600 is branded will it come with these menus:

I seen a demo of W960 in O2 shop and the screen is not all that crisp or clear cos its on the big side the pixels are more noticeable did not like it so much.

did you receive it? how is it?

The n95 8GB is the phone to pick from that list.
Second I'd pick the basic w580 and lastly... absolutely nothing!
I just can't tolerate samsungs no matter how hard I try.

Why dont you consider the W890i its a lovely fantastic phone i seen one in action. If not first i would choose N95 then W580i but not the Samsung cos im not a huge fan of them plus the G800 though has a nice camera its just too bulky with a horrible design.

how about the w910? its really nice since you like w580 but basic so the w910 will be a good choice,i ve got and can't keep my hands of it the shake feature is sooo good

It seems esato has also fallen. And that freedom of speech has been lost.
ohwell back to topic for the blind people

Samsungs are good phones but the 2 things i dont like are you cant automatically save camera pictures to memory card and also cant use mp3 as message alerts which means i cant use my Father Ted comedy clips as message alerts.

yeh i remember that was annoying using the e800 and some other i though they wud of solve the issue in the latests handsets lol

that's what i was thinking. some nokia non-candybar seem to suffer from dodgy build quality. they really should stick with candybars because they don't seem to have many problems. in fact, nokia candybars are quite reliable.
as for SEs, more than half of the people that have owned them that i know of have had problems with them. SEs may have a reasonably nice and customisable UI, generally good battery life, and great java, but as far as reliability is concerned, they're not worth touching with a barge pole. that situation still hasn't changed since the days of the t610.
as for samsungs, i find them to be the most reliable of all the major manufacturers, both in terms of hardware and software.
the samsung soul seems to be awesome!

you can. on my u600, pics are automatically saved to phone memory, and vidoes are automatically saved to memory card.
my u600 can have a different custom tone for each of calls, SMS, MMS, alarm, broadcast messages and push messages.
so can the g600 and many other samsungs.

In my Homeland it's the opposite that's happening. Nokia phones were the most popular brand here and at the same time they are the most popular brand in the eyes of the service center/repair shops as well (that's when we visit mobile phone repair shops here

Out of all the phones that were listed at the beginning of this thread the N95-8GB wins hands down. Ease of use, camera, video quality, MP3 capabilities, WI-FI. The ultimate convergence device.......
