Try looking for a topic by 'searching'. I'd say ur chance is, like, 0%. lolSeriously, something should be done about this. Wat'd u guys think?

Usually works fine, depends on the wording i guess?

Look for this thread by 'searching'

Give it a better title and then it will work!

I know what the man means though
The search aint the best, it gives you a thousand options and none of them are the one you want
Shouldnt matter about the name of the thread. Should be able to find it

Wat'd u mean a 'better title'? What i'm sayin is dat u couldnt find a thread u've read before even if u knew the title. And this makes the search grossly inadequate.

I use google and put Esato in the search option!, usually works fine

@peterkayThat only goes to show how much faith u've got in the Esato search!

I've said it before and I'll say it again (there was also once a bit of fun for me to find threads that members choe, in a short time!)
the search works fine but you need to understand its quirks.
its clearly not s good as google and I sometimes go out to google and do a site search

@masseurLets say i want to find this particular thread, how do i find it by searching?

Try this Ahmed5:
Examples:
apple banana - find posts that contain at least one of these words. +apple +juice - find posts that contain both words. +apple -macintosh - find posts that contain the word "apple" but not "macintosh" apple* - find "apple", "apples", "applet". "some words" - find "some words of wisdom", but not "some noise words".

If you want to go back to a topic why don't you Bookmark it?
Thats another option you have!

Trying an Esato search or this thread came up with the following:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=27521
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=40895
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=23408
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=45574
Kinda proving that you aint alone in not liking the search. BTW I didnt find this thread while searching.

Having been a member here for quite a while, I've noticed that Laffen continuously upgrades and improves Esato but he keeps very quiet about it. He tends to just implement a change and then announce it either in the thread that requested the change or in the "Esato News" forum.
So don't give up hope just yet
