I used to use a product called 'Matte Shaper'. That was the name of the tub i bought, but 'matte shaper' is an actual product, so you should be able to find it under different labels!

Ive now switched to a product called 'Muk'.

The muk is a much firmer product, and harder to apply, the matte shaper is a soft, 'thick cream' which applies very easily!

Both give your hair a 'dry'/'natural look' (unlike gel which makes it rock hard yuk! )

Lastly, the Muk washes out in the shower with only one shampoo wash, the matte shaper takes 2 washes to remove it fully!

I recommend you check them out!

I don't like wax or putty, etc. Because thy never fully dry, they feel sticky. Lol and if you don't get it all out before going to bed, it gets all over your pillow!

I don't know whether you guys get it where you are, but I find Fudge to be a good brand. I use Fudge Hair Gum (basically the strongest gel they make) to be good for my very curly hair. It completely dries as you would expect from a gel and it doesn't make your hair feel dry or anything like some products do.

I don't know what your hair is like, but I would say you probably don't need as strong a gel as I use, but Fudge have a good range to choose from

Oh yeah and gel makes your hair kind of hard lol. But at least its not sticky, I hate that. It really depends on how much you need it to hold your hair in place, which in my case is quite a lot!
