fakey fakey and fakey

say good bye to this ugly device. thanks god!

Posted by sunSEt_
@Ronka:
Why should this be a fake, because of a lock?!
Weak argument.

Posted by SilveR.
the lock still can be removed in final production.. I think they will do it. with out those the phone looks much better

Posted by bavlondon2
This is bascically the t650n with a slightly updated OS and cybershot brand + gps.

Please SE give us more 5mp phones, give us wifi in non UIQ devices!!!!!! Give us VGA video.

Posted by not_me
even if they remove that backcover lock, which I doubt, as personally haven't seen any se spypics which were different from released devices.
I still think it's ugly, especially the silver coating looks cheap, the numkeys and the camera implementation look bad.
I got my hopes up, that this device will never get green light for production, if it is a real se device after all

Posted by badassmam
Looks well off the current SE portfolio, great screen but it's so ugly. I would expect SE to use more brushed metal in most of their high end devices.

whats that? i do know about this ugly fake chinese phone. oh i forgot.. all SE phone are made in china. no wonder...

Posted by G-Izzat
@ Ronka,
I think many products are made in China, and not only Sony Ericsson's.

Posted by Mizzle
Yes, even your precious Nokias @Ronka. Oh, and this isn't a fake. Get your facts straight before posting.

Posted by RandomCarpet
Maybe it's waterproof (an underwater Cyber-shot ) That would explain the battery cover design and presence of screw
Doesn't look rugged at all though, so my assumption is most probably wrong.

Posted by Satsuma
If this really does have a GPS receiver built-in to something so small then that's a remarkable feat from SEMC/EMP.
Also it's strange to see such a high end feature appear on a feature phone before a smartphone.....although I can think of another large OEM that is doing the same but that is more because of disorganisation between its s/w platforms more than anything else.
I don't get to go to Lund much any more which is shame cos it seems like i'm missing out on previewing a whole load of good new stuff.

is rare logo on the screen, Inside the edge of the screen

Maybe it is the screen protector sticker that partialy overlaps the "Sony Ericsson" inscription.

Optical illusion. The black area around the display goes down a bit on the sides as well.

How about a little poll of the design :

5/5 - The best looking phone so far !
4/5 - Good-looking phone, I like it !
3/5 - The design is ok, could be better though !
2/5 - I don't like it, they hopefully make big changes !
1/5 - Just UGLY !
0/5 -

My vote : 1/5
Total votes : 1
Average : 1/5

the front of the phone would get 4/5, and the back only 2/5.
Overall it would be 3/5

2.5/5

this one looks so cheap even cheaper than a Chinese rip-off
-1/5

I'm going with my instincts an saying 4/5

We shouldn't be going straight on rating the looks of the phone from the perspective of renderings and "live" photos... one can only truly rate the phone when they have had it in their hands. We all commented on K850i's controversial design, but most of us has grown to like it - and I'm sure this is another one.

I'm quite happy that Sony Ericsson is bringing BRIGHT/WILD colours and Japanese-inspirations into their portfolio.

I actually like the look of this phone. Back in the day I had a T610 and this reminds me of that.

So can anyone confirm yet how many MP the cam is?

Posted by razec
Why are you so bitter with this phone's look, the color may or may not be the final one since if we do remember W900 proto had even a color in it's beta stage and when it was released, the color had changed to black/white and it made the phone beatiful. so stop commenting it's ugly, protos always do look ugly!

i just hope we would see UIQ 3.2 phones from SE with WiFi that's all

Posted by not_me
@razec :
do you have a pic, I personally never saw any se prototype spypics, which were different from the released ones.

don't think the color is making this phone unattractive, personnally would like it a lot better if they changed the grey glossy plastic, redesigned the camera implementation, and removed the color parts from the dpad and numkeys, and change /reposition the batterylock and strap holder !

thanks, didn't found pics of the yellow one on google searching for w900i proto
yeah, it looks awfull in yellow, but I guess that is the only one which ever got changed before release, so i still doubt this phone is gonna change much !

Posted by goldenface
K750i was spotted in copper too, which I don't believe was a final colour.

Although, personally I think there will probably be more than one colour in the final version.

Posted by razec
the keypad of this cybershot phone reminds me of the classy and cute Z200.

i hope the forthcoming K850 successor would resemble K700's classic metallic design and finishing

Woah! Stop jumping the gun! 3GSM hasnt even been and your making judgements based on several spyshots of ONE unannounced mobile from SE! You actually have nothing to go by, unless you know SE's entire portfolio for 08.
