Number1,
please can you correct a compression level to avoid crash and not saving a picture? It is quite annoying.
I think that there is no problem with any compression artifacts so it is not neccessary to change it's settings, what do you mean?
Camdriver 01 and also 02 crashes always when taking a photos of trees and other "detailed structures" that are hard to compress.

Thank you!

number1 is trying to correct it..tats y he is comin out beta to let us try n c how 1st. how about u use the original driver? confirm wont crash one..

jus becos the main firmware restricted to a size, tats y its difficult..

n this 2 beta already very gd n alot beter compared to the previous 3..

so be patient!

yes quality is better.
but still some crashes...

and sound of videos is still veryyy baaaad, a pity because picture is cooool

Posted by nebraska
A question to all T650 owners:
Does someone noticed a delay (shift) between sound and picture when you record a movie with the phone?

Mine makes a delay of about 1 sec....

Posted by number1
which camdriver crashes the least i will make a new beta based on it.

Posted by nebraska
cam01 seems to crash more than 02
maybe other opinions?

Posted by nebraska
what is the difference btwn "spot" and "normal" in the measuring mode menu??

Posted by momoki
camdriver02 also quite the same when taking pic on lcd screen.

wil go out to take more pic n test later..

previously using camdriver01, no much problem except taking pic on lcd screen only. tats all..

anyway number1, wat difference u do on 01 n 02?

when u using normal, it c on the whole surrounding light. but spot is measure on tat particular spot light.. u try it in your hse light, than u wil knw..

Well, well, well, guys...

My camera has suddenly crashed. It won't work either by pressing yhe button or via menu. Moreover, this reboots the phone!

I don't know exactly what it is but if the reason is camdriver0, please, share the best one in your opinion here cuz I have no access to the links posted above...

Thanx

Please members, post your images on original size for better comparison, because with original camdriver, photo quality of this phone appear very worse for me.

My doubt for buy this phone is only in photo quality and if this camdriver for much better than original of SE, can convince me.

Sorry for my poor english.

Posted by momoki
for me, i really donno tat this phone was better than other phone in camera quality. i thought tat k810 or k850 was the only those is gd. but indeed k770 was alot better than k810, i was so shock!

didnt make the wrong choice though...was really happy wit it.

wil upload some photo later wit 02camdriver..

I found one asian site with photo comparisons between K770 and K810 and analyzing samples, K770 is winner on some shots and K810 in others, but K770 have a bit more of noise.

Link for site is: http://www.eprice.com.tw/news/?news_id=6176

Now i have decided change my actual phone (K750i), K770i is my new choice.

Thanks and sorry for my poor english!

Posted by momoki
don worry about your eng...as long as we can understand can already. haha.. indeed k770i is a winner!

anyway here's some pic using camdriver02..

focus: macro, all auto..
size= 742kb

size= 866kb

size= 761kb

size= 722kb

do someone have a delay between image and sound when you record a movie with t650?

Posted by number1
maybe the video fps is cauing problems with the sound sync, a couple more test version with increased compression
http://www.mediafire.com/?7t0hw5fzydb

also has any1 tried the night mode, or night landscape yet???? they should both be lighter with less noise.

Posted by jigonx
number1, many thx for your new beta camdriver..
but, can u give more detail explanation about the difference both camdriver please..?

Posted by nebraska
number1: thx for the new drv I'm going to test it
Concerning night mode yes it is surprisely much lighter when I take a video !
Hope the delay sound/image is fixed

Posted by nokialovera
Hello all
I'm with K770
I want to know what is the "half moon" (#) button on keypad for?
Do nothing on any scene... I thing is something for night scene, but nope, nothing happens when I press it.

Posted by linliz
only in videomode the button works.

Can you unlock Flicker Control and ISO Speed for manual choose?
I see in the camdriver is option on Flicker Control 1. Auto 2. 50Hz 3. 60Hz 4. Disable. And Iso Speed 1. Auto 2. 100 3. 200 4. 400 5. 800 6. 1600
Can you?
And what about smaller sharpening in all scenes, there are too much burn images from your 4.7 camdriver...

Posted by nebraska
unlocking new features would significate creating new menus... Quite hard to do I think..
But sure it would be cool to have choice between ISO and other stuff

Posted by jigonx
and number1, can u please make a way for longer shutter speed..?
may be 2 second..?

many thanks!

Posted by momoki
actually wat does shutter speed do? longer is better?

Posted by nebraska
tell me if i'm wrong but the more rapid is the shutter and the better quality photos will be (it avoids blurry shots)

so what is the purpose of a longer shutter???

Posted by nokialovera
with longer shutter the camera sensor eats more light. In the dark (very low light) longer shutter is better, "feels" the lighten objects and shows them to us in the pictures. If shutter speed is fast - you will only see the light source, but not the lighten by him objects.

Posted by furyoo
A long (slow) shutter speed also means it is more prone to blur as you have got to have amazingly steady hands to work it. Having used a DSLR at 30 seconds before, I know what that's like.

EDIT: Sorry, did not realise that someone else had mentioned about the blur issue.

Instead of shutter speed you could always increase ISO, the downside of which is increased noise.

Posted by momoki
oh ya...anyway to make it more lesser blurry shots?? thanks number1,

[ This Message was edited by: momoki on 2008-03-10 17:18 ]

Posted by number1
no way to decrease the blur, i can't increase the shutter speed because photos will become dark and noisey.

Posted by avril988
Helo, im a new here, nice to meet u
i had tested with the latest 4.75 cam driver
<-increased compression (Release on 2008 Mar 06)
download frm -> http://www.mediafire.com/?7t0hw5fzydb
my phone was R8AA018 firmware,
& yes it got nice quality picture & smooth video record,
good shutter speed,
but got two bugs here~
1. laggy on Night Landscape - after close camera on "Night Landscape" then reopen, it'll become laggy. but if u take a photo on laggy, it'll recover normal again. >
2. burn photo on Document - sometimes i got nice quality on Document mode too while take a shot on small things or else. but when i shot in a light complicated sides, i'll get a water color paint photo, dunno why -.-"
i had set whitebalance even on auto whitebalance, but still same~

anyway, thanks to number1,
Heard your good news soon

Posted by jigonx
about shutter speed..yes, i need longer shutter speed coz i like capturing city light at night. and yes, i'm using tripod.
the longest shutter speed i can get is only 1/2 second.

i know it's imposible to get very long shutter speed, but i think 2 second is posible and that's long enaugh for camera phone:)

about ISO, yes, i have added manual ISO to the camdriver.
with ISO 1600 or ISO 800, i can get the fastest shutter speed at 1/6400 second.
i think quick enaugh for camera phone.

Posted by geele76
How you add manual ISO to camdriver0.dat in k770i? Sorry for my English!

Posted by nebraska
I'm interested too to have manual iso, if someone can helo
1600 is huge iso! photos should be very bright with a such iso rate

My new driver based on the NUMBER1 and SE.

Changes:
1. Increased sharpness.
2. Increased buffer.
3. Changed watchdog timer to 255.
4. Improved WB range like a SE but with small changes.
5. video like NUMBER1 driver.
6. Smaller JPEG compression.
7. Eliminated crash if picture has much details.

hi number1
I've just tested your new drv (vers1), quality of videos is still better than beefore (good thing!) but the delay between image&sound is worse!
It is annoying, because pic quality is very good

In the NUMEBR1 table values are still the same in all modes.
Originally depend at sensor and in my driver too but witch smaller changes to linearity this parametres.

That's all

Nebraska try to change this walues:

cam_post_processing_11 = 1;
cam_post_processing_19 = 1;
cam_post_processing_20 = 1;

enter on the beginning 1 into place 2, Nice effect

the really big buffers aren't really needed the phone will never take a 2mb photo, i restored the old exposure property to stop doc mode over exposing, also adding more sharpness doesn't work well on this phone.

Posted by sp4ubw
Aha, i'm increased buffer at the begiining and and so stayed. Buffer from You driver is OK.

[ This Message was edited by: sp4ubw on 2008-03-12 12:27 ]

Posted by number1
increasing the buffers won't make much difference, i think the idea with buffers is that the photo fits in them, the max file size is 908kb i think so really only a 908kb buffer is needed.

hi
thank you for your explanations
Is it a modification of the driver to solve my pbl of delay in videos?
I'm afraid I'm not an xpert.. Which part have I to modify??
PS: strange that no other guy noticed this delay on his t650

Posted by number1
cam_post_processing_11 = 1; <<cam_post_processing_19 = 1; <<< videotelephony
cam_post_processing_20 = 1; <<
Posted by nebraska

these values are already in the driver...

cam_watchdog_timeout=DC; // time for watchdog to timeout after recivied frame
cam_post_processing_11 = 1;
cam_post_processing_19 = 1;
cam_post_processing_20 = 1;

so i don't understand what to do exactely.. (replace 1 by 2???)

Posted by number1
try replacing
cam_watchdog_timeout=DC; //220
with
cam_watchdog_timeout=FF; //255

Posted by nebraska
ok I've just put FF, it is worse I think...veery big delay

anything else doc?

Posted by number1
Try DA

Posted by nebraska
sorry it doesn't change anything....
around 0,5 to 1 sec delay

Posted by number1
ok have 1 last try use value A5

Posted by nebraska
still the same...
is it the only parameter which controls delay?

if you want to see this delay, here is a little video:
