X-box:
-Roughly 733 Mhz Intel Processor
-Roughly 233 Mhz nVidia Gfx Processor
-Plays DVDs with separately sold DVD kit
-Seperately sold Controller S for those whose hands are not big enough for the original controller. (the original was supposedly "for american hands")
-4 controller ports
-Ethernet port for broadband Internet and local area network gaming
-8 GB hard drive
-Windows Based Operating System
PS-2
-2 controller ports
-Ethernet port for broadband Internet gaming sold seperately
-128-bit emotion engine processor (this actually makes the processor faster den ur average 500mhz processor. or shall i say, its actually around twice that of the X-box)
-being older than the x-box, naturally has a wider variety of games.
-Roughly 294.912 MHz processor
-4Mb roughly 147.456MHz Gfx processor (this screws up totally, compared to the X-box's)
-24x cdrom drive, 4x dvdrom drive.
so lets just say, that, we are all confused. bah. if u want something with wide game variety, pick PS2. if u want something with nice hardware specs, pick the X-box. dun let the fact that the PS2 has a faster processor fool u. it doesnt really affect loading time, just the time to computate stuff when theres a lot of shit on the screen. so basically the xbox will have a faster loading time, and better (yet maybe laggy) gfx. so it actually depends on what ur looking for in a console....

wat eva u do don't get the x-box it is a load of crap the controller is so big and bulky and ugly compared to the ps2 controller,ps2 controllers are small and light and are better in almost every way, sure x-box might have better hardware specs but wat is the point in buying a console if it has half as many games as a ps2,ps2 has lots more games that are more fun than ne other game an x-box has and x-box runs on windows and windows always stuffs up so u don't want that in a console it will stuff up all ur games so buy a ps2 they kick ass its got better games such as:vice city,gran turismo 3,gta3,socom and kool stuff like that so buy a ps2!

Well I have both PS2 and XBOX, and one thing is for certain, when you play on an HDTV Display, the XBOX will Slap the taste out the PS2's Mouth, and then spank it after like the ps2 was a bad school girl. Plus after the XBOX was modded via "EVOX" there is now a 120gb harddrive on board, also lets you save all your games to harddrive, so you never need the cd again(blazing fast loadtimes). Also the XBOX(after the evox) now lets you download emulators to play those funny ass nintendo, sega and GBA games, more coming... also plays DIVX movies on your TV, thats right you d/l ing fiends... XBOX lets you play your .avi movies on your tv... LMFAO. The PS2 mod chip ooooh lets you play burned games, well the XBox mod does too, but its not about ripping off software programmers, movie studios maybe but not the gamers, das wrong!!! and the reference to colin mcrae rally only being on PS2, WRONG!!! it is on xbox as well, but it still sucks, try rallisport challenge, its waaaaay better. and GT3, are you shi%*$# me? that game cannot compare to Project Gotham even, and that is entry level for XBOX Driving games...
bla bla bla......
PS to make this colour commentary more fun in the future there is yet another console entering the market the same time as PSX and XBOX2 its called the "Phantom" looks very promising... they are beta testing now and we shall see dem results later!!!
