personally, i have no problems with the t68 (unless you also think that it's starting to be a bit popular than you really want it to be

Yes. The operating system is slow. Sometimes, while trying to call someone, your phone bugs - it's wrotten "calling..." on the screen - and nothing happen. You have to take the battery off in order to reset it. Try to look in the site for more details.

While browsing a graphic intensive WAP site, my t68 turns off after scrolling a couple of pages. Other than that, it's pretty stable. (My FW is R2A006)

@boyi I had the same problem,dude.. My T68m(i) with SW ver.R5D007 sometimes reboot itself when start browsing wap via gprs. :-( ANYONE ELSE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM?!?

when charging my t68 it sometimes indicates that it is finished but when i try to plug the charger back in it charges for anothe 5 mins. or so...
is this normal?

i get the same thing dude... mebbe it's normal... what i really want to know is what the heck is the difference between "charging only" and "optimized charging"...
my phone sometimes resets when i use "sendfile" from christersson.org... and after uploading several files i often get a "connection failure" message even though it clearly states that the phone is connected... i had to reset just to get it workin again.. geez.

because the moment you unplug the chargerm it already consumes power, so naturally, when u plug it again-it will e-charge
@nookie- optimize charging- the phone is in use while charging
charging only- the phone is off
only problem is i cannot resist looking at the guy on my screen (sooo good looking)

hi, i just bought a T68i and had the firmware upgraded to RD5, message alert volume increased a bit. But is the graphic display really that bad? tried taking pictures with the communicam and sobrang pangit ng picture quality. Very different from the &^%), so why the heck would anyone buy the ericsson camera. Doesn't look like 256 color, baka 16 colors lang like EGA monitor

well, the pics look bad because the pics hasn't been enhanced, click on my signature for the enhanced backgrounds for T68i, they all look very nice on the phone after I enhanced the quality !!

After all have been said. it's really a slow, buggy and awfully yukky colored screen. I could say this now since I moved to the Nokia 7650, does not bring my whole shirt when in my pocket very light and good quality for the pictures and screen display. No need to enhance and do all sort of adding color maps to adobe to edit jpg's of gif's

you know what i went to greenhills and asked how much it would cost if i swap T68 for T68i, the lowest i got was +6T.
and one more thing, i looked at the back of my phone and i saw "R2A"

What do you mean by enhance? Do i need a graphics software to do that like photoshop? I don't think it will make a big difference since i tried downloading the T68 background pictures here in esato but still the pictures doesn't look a bit like the one they displayed. Good only for cartoon pictures but very bad for life pictures.

I haven't experienced my phone shutting down in WAP, but it sometimes (rarely) does decide to shut down for no reason at all. Also, if I have over 12 SMS in my Sent Items, sending a new SMS turns weird, I have to delete everything in the Inbox, Sent Items and Unsent Items and restart. Maybe the software upgrade will cure this? But regardless, I love my T68.

Im using fw r5c.and it is quite stable.the instances that my t68i hangd was if gprs got disconected uexpectdly and if the network is so slow(mostly globe) and also if the icon (upper right on the screen) \"dissolves\".Comparing btwn #hangups and stable gprs/downloads usage,the latter wins as of date.The hangups iv experiencd is quite minimal.very acceptable to my criteria.

Only problem i can whine about my t68 is that its way too sloooow! & why the fw upgrades? Maybe bcoz of 2 many bugs. Im beginning 2 think se released t68 prematurely. Im starting 2 hate my fone!!!

if you were a non-SE user, one of the common complaints is the slower UI - and it's true, you just have to get used to it (especially when comparing UI speed with nokia - but nokia doesn't have any phone that can match your phone's features). with regards to the "bugs" you were talking about, as of the latest FW R6A (or even the last one I had R2E), I have NOT experienced any bugs! (and R6A is faster than R2E, plus has a louder sms alert tone)
how long have you had your phone? Be patient, it takes time to get familiar with new things. , i don't think it's premature - quite ahead of it's time then (almost 1 1/2 years ago), still holds it's own now against current models.

My Phone hangs some times and I have to remove the battery to turn it off but this seldom happens. I guess this is due to my old software (r2e). No problems with wap browsing.
Might as well show you guys my t68 wish list:
An upgrade that changes the screen resolution from 256 to 9k colors (like all the other colored phones out in the market). I guess this would also involve changing the screen. = (
An upgrade that enables the phone to download java applications. Now that would just be great right?
Aside from these complaints, the t68 is really better than its competitors with regards to features... especially the ease in customization (themes, screensavers, backgrounds). Nokia phones just don't have that flexibility.

For those of you having problems downloading large files from WAP, please keep this in mind... Globe's gateway bandwidth is only about 2.7k. (don't know with SMART) I tested this. So lets just hope Globe increases this as the populatity of WAP thru GPRS is also increasing (without having to charge us -- fingers crossed).

i had a worse problem...the bios /memory chip on mine completely failed which resulted in the phone freezing everytime i hit the option key at in stanby mode!

i don't know why, i never had any problem with my t68i, never hanged since. it's a t68mc converted to i. previous frimware as R2E, no problems. upgraded to R6A, no problems. does it have something to do with hardware version? mines R2A

I think it's esato. Go to esato wap and go under the themes menu. It has a bandwidth test where you will consecutively download pics of increasing file sizes. when you stop with just a box... then you've reached the limit.
