i think your missing the point of the challenge, its not to challenge the best phone for its abilities, or to show off where you have been by using a pic 2 years old. Its to challenge the photographer and their imagination and creativity. Any member can post a pic of some vacation shots of water. Im pretty sure everyone has one. But to take the word water and go capture an amazing shot specifically for this month is a test of imagination and creativity and skill. Not the test of where you have been or the test of you history of pictures you can go through just to enter.

I don't see the problem with it being this way. If DonJuan wants it to be his way, then he can start a new one on his own. And he can be the one to go looking through the data to find out the dates the images were taken.
This is Mizzle's thread and his rules. He made it and so he gets the say on how it runs. He has said we will let this one run and maybe change it next time. So thats how it should be.
It may have been DonJuan's idea in the first place, but a photo competition is nothing too original anyway, so DonJuan can hardly claim it as his own.

here are the rules i would see fit
1: Pictures entered must be taken by the person entering.
2: The following information must be included in the same post as the entry. phone used, why you feel the word or phrase influenced your picture
3: Photos must be a maximum of 800 pixels against the longest side including any border. This rule must be adhered to or else the photo will be disallowed.
4: Attached files must be under 240KB, embedded files must not exceed 300KB.This rule must be adhered to or else the photo will be disallowed.
5: Details of any post processing must be included in the same post as the entry.
6: Only one entry per member.
7: No archive shots allowed, for any given monthly competition all photos must have been taken within the specified time period, from the time the opening launch and discussion thread is posted, until the stipulated time it is due to end. This rule must be adhered to or else the photo will be disallowed.
8: Once posted, the entry is final. No change of entry will be allowed.
9: No 'adult' themed photos will be accepted.
10: If you enter, you must vote. Not voting will result in your entry being withdrawn. You are not allowed to vote for your own entry.
11: Any judgement on interpreation of the above rules will be made by the moderator.
12: Any moderator decision in respect of the competition and entries will be final.
at the end of the day i have been trying to get this going for a year and a half and yeah of course its not original but so what. You try to get something going for that long then you get some dick on here like you mohammed being rash then lets see how you feel

the pics should be creative... in order to be competitive.
guys, you should post only once... that will be your entry for the whole month.
we made it whole month for everybody to join, prep up and shoot their best.
i really dunno what this thread will turn into if we keep on posting like this.

yup, there should be a clear-cut procedures for this kind of thing.. perhaps one or two would like to "sit down" and talk and finalize everything so that all members would be enlightened once and for all.. such would definitely lay down the standards (which i hope everyone else would follow) - kudos to the policymakers!

i agree with boba fett too maybe just carry this one out and we can see what learn from this and in feb we can clearly make the rules from the start and ppl only post pics and no comments. Then on the final week of the month ppl vote. But only ppl who enter can vote
