As I see many people are asking how to apply patches and etc... I will try to explain the things a little... (also will post a tutorial later)...
These graphic patches help us replace some graphics (located in the phone's MAIN firmware) with another ones to make the look of your phone better... To help changing these graphics/pictures there are patches invented
. So to apply these patches we need to grant access in the phone's MAIN and then apply these patches to the MAIN firmware... To get into the MAIN firmware we can use the JDFlasher plugin for Far manager... There is tutorial how to use that program on www.se-nse.com. The quick acces patch help us patch our phone so we can easily break into the MAIN in no time whenever we want to patch our phone, instead of waiting the 15 min procedure (when applying the quick access patch)... So once the quickaccess patch is applied to the phone, we can add other patches with no problems...
Why some patches are not working?
There are several reasons why some patch is not working... There can be the firmware version problem... One patch is made for ONLY ONE phone model and ONLY ONE SPECIFIC firmware... If you have patch for e.g. K800 R1KG001, you can apply it ONLY on K800 with R1KG001 firmware and NO OTHER phone or firmware... If there are not any patches for your firmware, flash your phone with the latest one AND DON'T USE SEUS, CUZ IT WILL UPGRADE YOUR PHONE TO CID53 AND MAKE PATCHING UNAVAILABLE FOR YOUR PHONE... CID53 protection isn't cracked yet...
Other reason why a patch is malfunctioning can be the so called donor images... There graphic patches are piece of codes that replace pictures from the phone with another ones. The MAIN must have the exact lenght all the time in order the phone to work properly. So for example:
- if you want to change the radio skin (and it is for e.g. 15kb png image), you make a patch with code of the picture and your skin is 10 kb... So the skin must be the same size/lenght as the default one is, that's why you are adding donor images (images that never appear in the phone...) to make the lenght of the patch exact with the MAIN firmware part you are replacing (CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG)... There mustn't be any duplicate of the donor pictures... One donor picture have to be ONLY ONE and there cannot be 2 or more identical donor images... That's why some patches are "not compatible with other"... I think I explained something about these patches, if I'm wrong correct me I'll delete this post

try this site "http://okti.30.pl/" it has a big pack with all the patches and gfx for k810 r8...i couldn`t upload my pack because it hase more then 17mb and i don`t now why 4shared does not upload it...

They work, why not imo... Important is the phone model and Firmware version... To be sure all these patches are meant to be CID52 because the K810 R8BA024 firmware doesn't have lower CID than 52
...
Anyway patches like these are tested by me personally and working on:

I didn't find the desired patch in the shadow's acc... The patch is to replace the K810 default media player with the look of the K770 one...

I normally use firefox. Tried it on Internet Explorer and K-Meleon and it doesn't work on either...
Also, about patching, whats with this quick access patch thing? Do I need it? And can these patches be applied with the patch section of XS++ or do I need SEtool?

quick access is use to bypass the security to have an access on patching your phone... XS++ have an option in patching but still does not support it or no one has discovered a way to use it.. you need setool or jdflasher to patch your phone.. happy modding

OK that was enough... Everyone asking WHAT THE HELL IS ELF and NOBODY gives explanation...
Elfs are some sort of modding applications (files actually) that help you apply mods to your phone easilly and mods that are not available by patches only... So the Elf pathces are added to make the phone support .elf extension and make the elfs (elf files) usable... So when you apply the patch, you can use the elf files (the elfs elves, etc...
)...
Like this for example...
you will never make that kind of clock in the K800 using patches or by editin the layout...
P.S. I think this was not that hard to explain while all people around are confused...

I have a BIG BIG problem.I patched my phone through setool,I created the folders like this:
others/Zbin
others/Z Bin
other/ini
and I patched it.the patching process was going great.I disconectted the phone
and when I press menu it sais:errors occur in the menu.ml file.this may render the menu unusable"after I press ok it shows the menu.but the problem is
that when ever i go to FILE MANAGER the phone freezes.I don't know what to do.everything else works great.please I need your help.
