I got a USB turntable for Christmas and am busy converting my old albums and singles into MP3
The turntable is a Soundlab and it came with audacity software
I'm wondering if there is a feature in that which will get rid of crackle and pop from the track before I save it, or if there is something else I can use?

Audacity can do it.
Gimme a few mins and I'll edit this post with the how-to.

ah. I can see "click removal" in the effect menu but it is always greyed out
edit: sorry, got it. I have to select the recording before the menu options are available
thanks for confirming audacity could do it. I guess I'll give it a try now

Yeha that was the one.
Forgot what it was called so was just checking it now.
It's pretty useful.. though a normal turntable would have worked if you plugged the output into the line-in of your machine.
