oh btw, i think i would need to retest since I noticed in your last post that the ISO should be 250 and mine is 320. would vividcolors be better for the shots i took or withan?

Vividcolour will be more reddish and colouredat flash pics, I think for slow sync withan is better but I don't tested too much, so...who knows!

Some pictures I took with 2.16 Withan. Still new in taking good photos.

Outdoor pic, Auto, No Flash

Doc Mode, No flash

Indoor picture, Auto mode, no flash (slightly shaky)

Indoor picture, Twilight landscape mode, Flourescent WB (slightly shaky)

The quality of the images suits my preferences. Good work. Will try to find more scene worth capturing. My pictures are ordinary day-to-day happenings.

That modes are untouched in 2.16, read changes and advertise, if you downloaded standard or vivid yesterday redownload...and check the slow sync mode cuz it's the only improvement in 2.16 mate...

just playing "ghosts" with withan 2.16, this cool effects is great. good work joms!

Is it possible to get shutter open for more than 1s? e.g. 2s or 3s?

Maybe via (03,xx) command?

Posted by milan91
One with new driver

Posted by jomateixa
Soon new version with another slow sync mode (2s), but I can't decide about the ISO... anybody experiencied knows the best settings? I think the best for 2s is ISO 125

Posted by krogoth
100 / 125 should be best... The exposure will be long so we should have light photos even with ISO125...

The best configuration is 3s exposure and ISO100, it gave me great photos on my old K750i...

Posted by silent
how do i instal these drivers?

Posted by Turboguard
I mean, i did that big update last summer for my K800i and I think it still takes good pictures. Same quality as K850i.

New version 2.18 with another slow sync mode, READ FIRST POST PLEASE

--Kidding -- couldn't resist...
I think most of us here are pretty open minded and are ok with that...

camera crashed.. well, exactly it restarted after using 2.16 with twilight portrait in daytime. happened once.. may happen any other time.

Yes this mode is hard to use, but can be very cool for fast movements and static camera

hey there,
really nice work!
may it possible to have a _manual mode, where i can set all necessary options (iso, exp. time, f, sync flash (at start, at end, or disabled),WB (in best case with focussing an white object, the cam does sync the WB to the white object), sharpness, and maybe choose between vivid and normal mode) direct in camera mode?
this would be (of course, the scene mods are awesome!) the best extension i could imagine for the k8xx/k7xx cam. there are so much possibilites one can do with this cam so why not using it?
if this already was discussed in this huge thread, i apologize for not reading all 35 pages

If I know how to do it...I will do it

That is a VERY HARD work, we need free keys and free registers, and there's a lot of issues doing that, but it's possible, read the Raiderki's thread about the prototype, he's doing the work, I don't have that programming skill

As you can see, when in total darkness the slow sync exposure time doesn't take effect,

cool pics

Self-timer on, camera on a table

Hi jomateixa. Nice improvments. Try to keep the basic settings of the driver. Your driver has a bug in flash settings since 2.1. The flash pics @ day have red white ballance. Your best driver for me is 2.0

I don't understand that burner, please explain, I only put tungsten WB by default on twilight scenes.

Posted by burner8
You changed the shuter speed to 1/30. The problem is that the color flash settings ,to give
the cold flash light warm color,
work @ night or with very fast shuter because then you have little other color light. Compare 2.0 with your new driver indoor @ day with flash.

Posted by jomateixa
Yeah day indoor pics are more reddish, that's because the 1/30s, but if I decrease it then people will tell me that flash pics are too dark. Maybe I can decrease it to 1/80 or 1/100. Do you have any preference? If you tested you can tell me what's the best value for both day & night pics (avoiding a little the dark background at night)

2.16 well bestpic is bugged (when using auto focus.. 9 out of 10 times i get first 3-4 pictures black).. no crash yet.

Posted by jomateixa
Bestpic bug is the same as in all versions (18fps) It's hard to find any situation with bug, you found one

Posted by Rodrigop
joma i will try your new driver and post some pics...

i didn´t understand quite well what this means, can you help?

'New! v2.20
- Added full range auto focus (from macro to infinite) to Portrait, Twilight portrait, Sports, and Beach/Snow scenes. '

what are the advantages? i can now select the auto focus in all these scenes?

tks for your good work!

Norbi incearca 2.11 sau 2.o final care dupa mine sunt cele mai bune. Numai bine.
