I used witham and the standard K810i driver.In Twilight portrait without the flash (same settings for both).And the stock driver for me produces far less noise...what im doing wrong

Others photos seem to be fine.

Depends on what intensity you love/hate the colour/noise

I use the withan, cuz I love flash pics with less noise

I think you're doing something wrong, but try to make Twilight portrait pic with negative EV. And please read the forum before asking everything.

took some night shots outside on the streets, this evening, and found it very hard to get sharp pictures.. i used 2.11 in twilight landscape mode and nothing changed... then after disabling the image stabilizer, it was a bit easier to get sharp pics, but still extremely hard to do so... why is it, when i use number one's 2.95 driver, that it is much easier to get sharp pics in night mode with that driver than with ultimate?.. is it possible to improve that in ultimate? i just can't hold my hands still for like 5-8 seconds and "hope" to get a clear (not blurry) night shot...

Me too I've god much noise indoor pic, more than the original camdriver I think... I've got vivid 2.1, and flash will only make pic with flash getting red... Not so good

What is the best camdriver for indoor pic ? Or do 2.11 Withan fix that and give less noise and red pic during indoor conditions ?

Why you get blurry shots with Twilight Landscape is i think because you dont hold the camera still enough.. twilight landscape have long shutter time.
Maybe Number1s got shorter shutter time on that scene so you dont have to hold it still as long.

I havent tested this new driver too much yet, i know that i got some amazing lowlight shots with 2.0 vivid.

@About the indoor noise

- K800 is not as good as a digital camera, the lens are SMALL
- You cannot expect take good indoor pic in darkness without flash using twilight portrait mode, you need a minimum of light for that
- Use negative EV to reduce noise.
- For less noise don't play with VividColour, use the Standard
- So...Put flash ON, or make that pics using twilight ladscape

guys always remember that we are not playing with a dedicated camera!
this is a camphone! dont expect miracles! but expect wonders!

they are just tweaking the camdriver not modifying it into a new driver or making a revamp out of the original.... (well i guess Raiderski is cookin sumthin up *lol*) but! we can NEVER ever DENY! the capacity of the hardware (cam module) placed inside K800/810/790, it will still be the same no matter what we do!

so the changes when using these drivers and stock drivers are very minimal! when in good lighting or outdoors, stocks and modded are almost the same with their results... the reason these guys modded drivers are for special occassions... but the results arent that extravagant... its acceptable enough and understanding the capacity of the phone... you will learn to appreciate the effort these guys are pouring to give us alternatives... so please dont yack!

sheesh! if we keep on adjusting some of these, having some of that.. and alil bit more of the other... less than you know... we're just going round in circles....

its good to have these drivers for us to choose wots suits us... and its good that there is a patch to change camdrivers with ease.... so be thankful were having these modds....

what jomatexia is doing right now is giving us more alternative thats why Vivid Color / Withan is created.... the least we can do is to help maximize the use of these mods and contribute if not be thankful for what they are doing...

sorry mates... just cant stand it... just my 2cents.... and judging by the lengthy melodramatic speech... itll reach 10cents... *lol*

Number1 2.96 and Ultimate v2.11 Withan color comparement:

docmode, macro, FL on, auto color balance

Number1: ExposureTime : 1/40Sec, ISOSpeedRatings : 100

Ultimate: ExposureTime : 1/200Sec, ISOSpeedRatings : 100

the problem is:
on Number1 - gray and silver colors have added red (should be like on Ultimate)
on Ultimate - white color has some blue (bottom right text "everglide" and BT grip handle (with PenDrive text) - should be like on Number1)

it's easy to fix if I add 25% red to photo (gray still stays gray and white becomes true white) but is it possible to adjust flash temperature or something to get correct colors?

I think daylight gives best results and fluorescent is second

I didn't change camdriver. I used photoshop to add this color for whole picture

I think the best is to use auto WB and then correct it in photoshop or use fluorescent WB and correct it too

. In fluorescent WB less changes are needed.

You can upload the photos on this site,when you post the message here under it says attach picture...you will figure it out by yourself.

I don't understand something...most people seem to get good results with the driver,but i get awful results with every driver except the default.And i don't understand why.

Try the Withan, and remember to put a little negative EV for indoor pics without flash, on previous page there's an example of indoor pic without noise with Withan one

I would reflash firmware and check it again without unnecessary patches (k800@k810 is fine) - maybe some patches mess something in your fw.

yes sure, I like the Raider's work...unafortunately it seems hard to implement and I'm very busy, I would like that Ultimate was built with the colaboration of all, so if anyone with knowledge have ideas or improvements I'll be glad to include it in first post.

Anyway, I'm doing tests with the prototype so be patient...

No,you can`t...

Because of different camera modules - this is writed for "Sony MCB881",but in K770 it is "Samsung 1200-0112"

Well, I dunno what's going on with your driver on my cellphone! When I see all the pics taken by you with the same driver it looks amazing but when I shot something on the same configuration than you I can't get the same results with the camdriver.

Yeah you need a stronger/better lightsource.
If you look at other pictures they either use flash or have a good lightsource.

do not rely mostly on AUTO MODE! it wont do you good!

the modded drivers are designed for special conditions... and when we say special conditions, you have to use other settings BESIDES auto mode...

try taking the shot again, this time using TWILIGHT LANDSCAPE. or TWILIGHT PORTRAIT using EV -7.

But be sure you keep your hands as steady as possible.... or try placing the phone on a secured platform or rest it against a wall or sumthin similar...

then post the new pics here again.....

The indoor noise depends on 3 things:

- AE_SLOW_SHUTTER value (in Ultimate is 18 fps to get quick AF)
- Light intensity
- Colour saturation (makes it more visible)

In stock driver AE_SLOW_SHUTTER is 7,5 fps, maybe I should decrease it, for example to 12 fps to avoid a little more the noise, but is more effective to put negative EV value.

If anyone want to test just change in all seq_vf_config the lines:

#COM_EVENT(03,24); // 18 fps AE_SLOW_SHUTTER

by this:

#COM_EVENT(03,18); // 12 fps AE_SLOW_SHUTTER

and post the results. If good I will update the driver with this fix.

Also you can try:

#COM_EVENT(03,15); // 10,5 fps AE_SLOW_SHUTTER

But AF will become slower (in low light).
