Does this go for "macro" also? If i go into normal scene, choose macro from the list and then go to, let say twilight portrait -
does the macro count to that scenen to? A little sharper pics?

If you select macro focus and then you change the mode to Twilight portrait the focus comes back to Auto (it doesn't remain locked like in infinite setting). But in the case it would remain locked you won't get sharper pic. Sharpness is 06 for all modes.

Allright, so is there any gaining to use Macro in auto-scene then?

The only function of Macro mode is to focus lower distances mate :S

Posted by ozzlss
i have the XS++ software, but I dont know how to use the cam driver.

u have to use the camdriver0.dat

Posted by ozzlss
ok

but both are camdriver.

I can use only one : There are the standart and vivid...I can use only one ? thats it ?

But which option I need the select in the XS++ ?
Thx

Posted by ozzlss
I want to use the VIVID file, so there is 3 options:

FLASH MAIN FIRMWARE
FLASH FILE SYSTEM
CUSTMOMIZE

I think it is the Flash File option..it is correct ?

But below, there are some configs, like Settings, Flahs, FSX etc...Which one I select ?

Thank you very much

Posted by milan91
From number1....

xs++ 3.X

1.up zip ifs.zip
2. run xs++.exe
3. take out ur phone battery
4. press connect
5. put phone battery back in and plug ur phone into pc holding down C
6. click FSX
7. click start FSX
8. browse to ifs/settings/camera
9. click upload
10.now find my camdriver0.dat
11.double click it and it will upload and replace ur old camdriver0.dat
12.press shutdown then yes
13.press close and disconnect phone

Posted by ozzlss
Ok.

I did this! thx!

But, it says that the "FLASH IS ALWAYS ON". And here, its not..only when I take a picture.....Why ?

Thank You very much!!

Posted by milan91
You cant turn on xenon flash... Buy phone with LED flash and you can turn flash

Posted by DeKosta
The xenon-flash would burn up if you used it as some kind of flashlight, he he.
What it means is that the flash goes of even when you take pictures in bright conditions as it wouldnt do with original camdiver.

Posted by jomateixa
you can use Far Manager instead flashing, it's a lot faster

First of all I'd like to thank you for this driver. It's really good.
Could you implement manual focus in document mode (optional - not forced)?
And driver name in jpg metadata will be nice

About EXIF data - I've found this and this is what I want (posted by pietropizzi):

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=152275&start=2250

but it's seems that metadata can't be changed by camdriver

Kopritis 2.7 = Wilma 2.5 with sharp 08

So...Ultimate is a independent driver, but built with the knowledge of several people on this forum. The great work is done when we work together. A big regard to all sharing-people!

high fps gives bug in Zoom and BestPic, 18 fps is the max value avoiding bugs

@jomateixa i heard that you work an another version of the ultimate driver...when are you planing to release the new version?

@norbi_nw
in 35fps driver the framerate is 24 with 35max
in my it`s vibrate framerate is 26-30 and the max ~42

Posted by Raiderski
0x98? let's calc...
0x98 / 2 = 0x4c = 76 fps

not too much? after this you must consider value 0x98 because it's ok only if register is 8bit unsigned (Kxxx control registers are 8bit signed). i have 25fps for normal and 15fps for night and i still don't know how BestPic bug looks like. i didn't changed all vf_ settings but video only

Posted by number1
anything over 22fps is uncontrolable it doesn't respond in time when you try to zoom, pause ,play etc,

Posted by geroldbravo
i've tried that 35 fps already.. yes it does'nt have any bestpic bug at all, and it is great, but i found a bug that makes my phone shutdowns by itself...... i mean when i lock my phone * follow by the menu.. there it can't be unlocked again and it got white screen then shutdown... when i changed cam driver.. it never happened again... i don't know if im right, but i've used it about almost a day and happened about twice... when i change cam driver it never hppened again..

Posted by ahil13
I have not knowed how many is the max framerate and was hope if put more it will be the max, like this for sharpness
if put 0b it will be 08, because 08 is the max.

@jomateixa

Hi!

I tried to reduce ISO settings in Auto and Night Portrait Mode To 200,
and raise exposure time, but i don't get it...
Can you please tell me where to change in your driver ?

I found Scene and ISO ... but if I change settings in Scene, the exposure time doesn't change...
I although tried to change "Normal (non-document) mode settings"
Changing "#COM_EVENT(06,0e)" doesn't show an effect.
Changing iso works, but without raising exposure time the pictures are too dark of course.

Playing arround with "Xenon Flash initialization" got me one picture with 2 sec exposure time, and the next pictures are without any changes, until i close the cam , and open it again... then i can get an 2 sec exposure time picture again... as you can see nothing works as i want it too

Would be nice, if you would help me a little bit.

Cu,

Andi

@jomateixa
i have found this driver and they say it's the ultimate w/35 fps.. it's somewhere around this post... don't know what page ... the cam is good,or should i say great in capturing photos... but what i have said earlier, it automtically hangs my phone and gives whitescreen.... but when i change driver it does'nt happened again.. but look at the photos i've captured with your driver... amazing... on the left side is my daughter and on the other side is her cousin... pretty cute pics also...
even if you'll see the original size... i dont even see a bit of a small squares... (pixels??) just like this resized ones..

portrait mode.. flash off..

@geroldbravo : what cam driver did you used for that picture?

the standard one or the vivid one?

tnx a lot

Posted by toyds
@All,

Ultimate driver has fast focus and i want to implement it in genus 6.0

Insert #COM_EVENT(58,xx) inside NORMAL_MODE and/or DOC_MODE definitions, but you will lose the sharpness, and your flash pics will become more noisy...

Soon you will know how BestPic bug looks like.... It even happens to me with 18 fps, but in 1% of shots aprox....

@jomateixa :

so i will change this settings?

seq_vf_config_12 - 24

#COM_EVENT(03,24); // 7,5 fps AE_SLOW_SHUTTER

??

tnx a lot

Another question : where in seq_vf_config do the video fps corresponds?

tnx a lot

BestPic viewfinder is seq_vf_config_12. you don't want problems with BestPic - do not touch draft fps and slow shutter values in this config

In Number1 driver that's not changed and he's having a little BestPic bug too... So we think it's because of video fps...

Yes but watch the code, DRAFT_RATE fps must be equal or bigger than AE_SLOW_SHUTTER fps

Video is seq_vf_config_21 and seq_vf_config_23

Its no bugg, its force flash as you wrote.
I love FF, every driver should have that implanted!

Wich entry in the code is for FF?

Posted by toyds
i think this is the FF command

seq_set_prop_e_2 = $sb 04 // Forced ON, for service menu and production tests
$c9 08 // R5 camera version?
#COM_EVENT(5a,83) // Forced xenon 0b10000011, slow sync at beginning
$cl
#COM_EVENT(51,00) // Sensor scene "Auto 00"
#COM_EVENT(5a,8b) // FLASH_MODE 0b10001011: Flash on, RER off, sync on beginning.
$cx;
