The same problem.

There are certain settings that call for the joystick to perform. This latest driver is fine but not perfect though perfection is something that the present camdriver modders are yet to achieve.

I expect more from joma and No 1.

as with acoustics, pedrops v2 hifi is the best!. irrreplaceable.

if you expect more i suggest you try making your own camdriver.

Ou i forgot to say this.

Of all the pictures stored in my phone, that taken from Genus' 6.0 stands out.

@ Number 1 ~ please do not spank someone who praises your work. remove that chip on your shoulder dude. peace.

reason of all white pics and crash is ridiculous. as number1 wrote quality is ~100%, you can notice also that file size is very small (camera is much closer to crash than in any other case)

1. typical crash (memory buffer overflow) - too high quality, too big max file size, huge amount of details or pure green color

reverse this...

2. all white crash - too low quality, too big min file size, very low amount of details

compression algorithm is trying to fit picture to min file size rule but sometimes this is impossible (all white = small size) in this case crash will come. i know this from K750 modding, when min file size is at 50-100kb problem doesn't exist. at least it's hard to do all white pics, so nothing to worry about

Okay...learned, thanks

@joma

hello! man, my pictures are best when I set the E.V. to -0.3 or -0.7, can you tell me where in the camdriver0.dat I can edit to set e.v. -0.3 like default e.v. value?

using v3 now, but in all of previous version worked better with these settings.. for me...

tks!

I don't get it, the picture MUST be all in white to crash the camera? I made now some rather white pictures and camera didn't crash. I made pictures like that:

Maybe it's too far from being all in white?

Drivers are perfect but I don't understand why video fps is decresed There are a lot of talks about Bestpic bug but I've never had it(my phone is k800 r8bf003 cid52red) maybe something is wrong with some phones
Also is there any way to increase video quality without changing fps? I don't mean resolutiom, I mean compression. If it is could anybody show me that part of the code?
And also I think that increasing sharpness won't help to get sharp pictures(they're just grainy) but increasing contrast will help. Before using UCD drivers I always change sharpness back to FF and I don't see that pictures are worse Sorry that I don't show you examples but I really have no time to do that.

Sorry for my English because I'm only 15 years old and English language is not very popular here in Belarus

Joma

- Twilight landscape scene with more colour (07) and sharpness (04). Also with 2 sec exposure.

exposure on a sensor related to the shutter opening "width" and not necessarily the time of the shutter.
You can use the controlls or keys for this joma, a few examples of controllers to be used for this sensor chip and this would have infinite possibilities for adjustments manual settings and I hope that motivates raider is to return to work in these controllers keys manual settings

Keep joma

Yes I could make different night modes controlled by joystick but I never liked it because you lose the EV feature. The only good way for me is to control it with the zoom keys. Anyway like said in first post if you decrease EV the exposure will be decreased too.

That's is tru, but sometimes or scenes EV is unusable, one example is a night mode where + EV increase noise (green and red pixels), right?

Posted by number1
the stick doesn't have enough range for most things, shutter speed, focus control etc.
exposure time (EV) is iso & shutter speed, so fix the iso then when you change the EV with the joystick your only changing the shutter speed then you have some form of manual shutter speed.

I modded the V3 driver and made night video in 25 fps, so there is no bestpic bug and it is possible to record in 25fps

I dont think so.... he only edited the camdriver and upload if somebody wanna it, like him.

Posted by ash_90
but since joma didn't think of modifying the video fps maybe because he knows the other possible consequences?

Video viewfinder definition is seq_vf_config_23, not seq_vf_config_24 LoL

Increasing Video fps = Increasing BestPic bug

I didn't have bestpic bug even with 30-35 fps

i think with 20 fps everyone would be satisfied, cause for the human eye everything faster than 18 fps is runny

If I'm new to this forum it doesn't mean that I didn't test a lot of camdrivers

I've tested kopritis 3.7
Your UCD 2.6
Standart 2.5
Genus 6.0
everything with changed video fps 30 and everything was fine... in some drivers zoom became luggy because of that...
Tell me what the BestPic bug is

I don't care that much, as i dont use VR at all.. For me, pix are no1 priority, and i like bestpic, so i wont risk it. Whoever wants faster FPS, make your own mod at VR part of driver (i always do mine, like color to 0b and edit the sharpness)

@joma
i crashed (with 2.60-2.62) the driver trying to take a normal indoor picture with flash. Picture came out good, phone froze, then camera exited. I wanted to take a picture of a cat jumping on a girl crashed 2x!!! one after another. all auto + flash in mid light. Testing v3.

outo mod +macro

Posted by jokamaciek
bestpic bug is a consequence of too big ammount of fps in normal wideo mode, modyfing night mode has no influence on best pic

how come when using Twilight not too lag. Everytime I use Twilight mode using this camera driver, Withan V3,.. is that really twilight is? and it'll produce a blurry image

Posted by DriftSpeed
yeah it used to be lag and hard to take pictures because of needing to hold it steady with twilight landscape but i dont experience that anymore with this driver
