uhm u got me all wrong joma. u see i tryed to explain that it is useless to have full range focus in scenes. before we had this, we enabled macro in auto, then switched to scene. what i'm trying to say is that this focus is slow and buggy (not your fault, as i had this in default camdriver). It's annoying as we always use normal AF or infinite focus in scenes - especialy special ones. try twilight portrait in low light. takes "ages" to focus, and most of the time... it doesn't focus at all :/ the focus square remains white. thats all the "cons" (-) i have for this driver and OFC the compression (2.46 crashed many many times in my hand) if it uses 2.46 comp.

1) If you put auto + macro and then switch to another scene then you don't have another scene + macro.
2) The AF issue in twilight portrait when in total darkness is not caused by the full range AF, it's because of the fps shutter (18, not enough light for the algorythm in a few cases), but sure you can find a point on what it focuses well.

a question

i have seen a patch with which we can have 2 camera drivers on the phone and can easily switch between them without having to use xs++
but i can seem to find that patch
can any1 help me find it.
also if you can guide me towards how to apply patches tht would be awsome coz i have never used a patch before
thanx in advance

@ALL
Considering the number of modes of the new version, I think it's better 4all to refer the pics with the names I assigned (Party mode I, II, III / Indoor / Daylight flash mode I, II / Slow flash sync mode I, II)

@Guto
This is the right mode when no flash (the Indoor mode). Twilight portrait without flash is not a special mode, it's just like Auto without flash.

Put patch, then in other/se/camera put camdriver0 and camdriver1 then when you want new camdriver only delete old and copy some from other to se/camera...

uhm my phone shows 8 cam modes:
auto, twilight landscape, twilight portrait, landscape, portrait, beach/bnow, sports and document
is this the same order as you have listed them at SPECIAL MODES so that twilight landscape = Daylight flash special mode II and beach/bnow = Party mode III? Or did my flashing went wrong? please point me to the right direction.

Some of you made a reference to Party mode using Auto + RER at daylight. It's not a special mode because flash do not fires!

By now only rawilson posted an example with sense,

Auto + macro + flash off (Normal mode)

Auto + macro (Daylight flash mode II, 1/6400, ISO 100))

Posted by jomateixa
Sorry I forgot to explain this mode:

4) Flash RER + MACRO. Non-document macro mode. Flash not forced. (1/30s, Xenon ISO 100)

ahhh now I got it :P so then the other modes (sport, document etc) are not modified, right?

I repeat:

If flash is OFF it is not the Party mode OMG... It's just a normal mode. ALL special modes are FLASH modes except the Indoor mode.

Posted by betobm
I set AUTO + RER, isn't it a party mode? the flash off is because the flash didnt dispair... the party mode just work if flash dispair in auto + rer?

Just wondering, whats the FPS of the video on this driver?

can someone put like 35fps in this latest?

The light seems different. The focus point too. Try to do another pair of pics of another object and make it the more identical as possible. Put settings (if flash or not, scene, etc)

since it's not really easy for me to remember what mode is what in ucd, i am suggesting to change the lng file (TPA/PRESET/SYSTEM/LANGUAGE) for the camera (if this is possible, just found that at topic=166481) that would be cool if that can be done. great driver btw :)

2.6 auto, macro, rer

i love this camdriver. thx joma.

It's not a special mode but pictures is perfect for me. Most pictures i take in auto mode + rer and is very good for me.

New pictures 2.6 vivid auto + RER ( no special mode ) - cool pictures
