why not twilight landscape mode, with iso 125 for "even" lesser noise?

@jomatexia

the WB is auto or daylight?

About the 3rd pic, daylight flash mode is not thinked for landscape pics, that's why it's overexposed. For macros or portraits it works fine, like in the second pic, in which we have more light/shadows detail on the flower keeping the background details too.

Your driver has so many settings for diff scene:) But it's really complicated to recall the diff settings.

Give you a few days

* Auto scene:

1) Flash AUTO: Daylight flash special mode I. Forced flash. For use in portraits at daylight. (1/6400s, ISO 250).

can you create version with Flash auto from 2.46?

Posted by that-guy
can you put lower iso on twilight landscape mode, for less noise? maybe iso 125 (like in number ones driver) ?... just look at the sky (taken with withan 2.6)..

Hah - this would be the second time i change my camera driver today....2.5 and 2.6 released almost immediately one after another ....

Sure but 125 is too low for me at some cases, that's why I setted it to 200, I think it's better to have brighter pic and post process it to remove noise. Maybe 160 is the best value, let me test it tomorrow, but in sunrise scenes there's noise even with ISO 125...

What party mode? I? II? III? You mean slow sync modes? There are different ways to use it. Mainly you have to use it when in very low light to get a brighter flash pic without noise.

Party modes are simply for different light intensities, I, II, III, from high to low. Are not for making your parties more funny!

@jometxia..

lol.. ok
thanx

Do you still recommend doc mode for capturing macro shots?

And Auto mode + auto/macro/infinite focus + auto flash is for capturing any daylight shots but NOT landscape shots right?

And Auto mode + any focus + NO Flash is for?

sorry i have a lot of qns

Is not a good sample for comparison, macro pics are always good. It was taken at complete darkness so the only difference is the whitebalace (incandescent in Ultimate flash) and maybe the colour saturation (00 for withan)

but is it correct that the modes are correct??like auto+ macro in ultimate and document on number1...coz as far as i can remember some told that never use document mode in ultimate only use it for text...

The only difference between Auto+macro and document is that document has more contrast and exposure (a little). You can use it too, It depends on the object.

but if you can see properties are almost the same exept for the exposure time....number1 is 1/40sec and ultimate 1/30sec other than that are the same...maybe its the white balance...but do you agree that with this 2 pics number1 has gain more color coz ultimate use tungsten as default wb?

Yes it could be the wb, or the wb and the colourgain. I don't know what is tha colourgain in n1 driver. You used flash RER that's why you got 1/30. If you were used Auto + macro it should be 1/6400

Posted by bryanjay420
ok...tnx for explaining...

Posted by norbi_nw
why does portrait and twilight portrait have full range AF (macro included)??
And this 2.6 is more flexible, but i loved this part in 2.46:
when i was in a mid to 70% lighted room, i used auto+flash and it took really nice pictures, that means the flash made it a little more bright, giving it perfect light condition (in normal driver flash wouldn't fire in this condition - enough light). Now with 2.6 i can't take pictures like that anymore, only with RER, but since it's not forced, it won't fire :/ what was the difference between 2.46 auto+FF and 2.6 FF ?? ISO, exposure?
example: go into a dark room, take a pictre with auto+FF... 2.46 made the whole room look great and no dark parts, now with 2.6 the back wall of the room is in mid darkness, only close objects are iluminated by the flash. hope u understand :/
Also whats the use of this new auto+flash in daylight stuff? it's night here, so i can't test it. anyone care to explain and give samples too?

1) For the '70% room' case (lol), you can use the Indoor special mode
2) Yes ISO is lower in 2.6 Auto, you should use Party mode I or II in a total dark room. Read first post info or the Readme

kk i got it, but why does the 2 portraits have full range focus? i mean u can enable macro in auto, and go to portrait and have macro.. this way it focuses slow :/ sometimes it takes long to focus and it even causes focal error. so we can enable it any time, but this way we are stuck with it. anyway i found a use for the auto+FF (i think).

You don't have to enable macro in Auto, just try to focus a near object in any scene and that's all. It's another proof of the Ultimate's flexibility. And the daylight flash special modes have several uses, read some about photography techniques

Is exactly the same difficult as in Auto+macro ... The same command is enabled in the driver.

A question: why do you use the N1 driver too? what lacks do you find in Ultimate?
