See the nice colors ?
I like it.

You should have used Portrait mode for that pic

Really?
I thought that portrait should be used to take face pics. People, you know ?
Or do you mean Twilight Portrait ?
And when should I use Auto mode then ?

Thanks.

Hey guys by now I don't have any idea to implement in a next version. Anyone have suggestions or critics or ideas?

Posted by ap0lo
* Portrait:
1) Flash ON: Slow flash sync (2s, ISO 125)
2) Flash OFF: Indoor special mode (6 fps shutter)

Yes, it is!
Sorry.

I've read the above about 50 times and still had in my head that the indoor special mode was Twilight Portrait.

Thanks for the advice.

can you please, add a little more saturation in portrait mode flash on? yes that portrait mode do well will the lower shutter speed in low light but IMO the exposure deals a plain image...and a little sharpening in overall modes with withan(flash off shots).because the noise reduction seems to make the pictures soft.

just suggesting.

i did this with your cam driver 2.44 withan.(post processed) i love vividcolours but when the withan came out,i just post process to make a bit appeal on colour.

Maybe 3-4 s max exposure in Twilight landscape mode + solarization effect?

How do you think, is possible make some change in camdriver to take 320*240@15-20fps video recording?

(sorry for my english )

Auto, wb cloudy, ev -0.7

And 100% crop

to flatter jomateixa a bit with his driver.

"i do use my k800i as my ultimate walk around camera.bundling it with his controversial cam driver, i usually leave my Nikon d200 and Nikon d40 back home"

more power and more talent...with all regards and respects to the camdriver developers out there.

have a great day.

@milan91:

EV -0.7 was a wise decision. see what i came up with:

Posted by milan91
Photoshop is amazing
I always use for day pics -0.7 but now i put cloudy wb, and picture is yellow :S
But today no sun, only clouds because i put cloudy wb, but i think daylight wb is better.

i see what you mean like this from my old k750i http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=10274 ,
it's some sort of noise reduction or something applied by the firmware/cam module, i don't have it this noticeable on my k800i and i'm running exactly the same firmware as you, check my photos
http://www.esato.com/phonepho[....]y+ericsson&model=K800i+special
i suggest you try a different cam driver to see if that helps.

@dekosta: its good visible in left corners...eg.on the second picture on that car its good to see, also on first picture its in all down size of picture...and to number1: when i had deafult cam.driver it did the same...

this is sensor matrix issue, on mathew shots this is much more visible (dunno why) than on my shots. this effect but in different way was in K750/W800/W810 (expect K750 CID49) what is visible on pic posted by number1, we must live with this

BTW. this is connected with autoexposure (when level is middle). that's why on most night shots this effect is unvisible

yes it appears it is, the old cid:36 k750/w800 have it the worst like my old k750i, when se choose cammodules for there phones they go for small & cheap, not big and expensive.

yep, but give me some time (today i will answer). i have some work to do

matthew23
first 5 shots are from K800 (my driver, not published), rest is from W800 (my driver, published)
i'm not using any graphics tools (edition nor noise reduction) to improve them. they are 100% pure

Posted by jomateixa
@matthew23

It is not caused by the camdriver or noise reduction, these are stupidities. Change your phone, is a hardware issue. I don't have this effect so noticeable in any of my pics.

For those questioning the slow sync (and using 2.0 version), here are pics you can't do wothout it. Macro pics in Portrait mode is a feature introduced by Ultimate too. With 2.44 you have more FLEXIBILITY, and you can find the settings for doing good pics in ANY situation.

Slow flash sync, 2 seconds, macro:

Hey Joma, can you answer me one thing please ?

I like to take night pictures the way they are, without flash, and usually there's a light source to help.

I used to take those pictures with other drivers, including the default from SE, using the twilight portrait mode, and that was satisfying. I have steady hands and most of the times I use self timer and put the phone in some type of support.

But I know that in your driver you recommend Portrait mode to those situations, as it is your speacial indoor mode.

So I ask, when should I use your twilight portrait mode WITHOUT flash ?
Or it is just useless ?

BTW, with flash turned on, your special modes are unbeatable.

Thanks.

Yes it has nothing special, is just like Auto without flash. Firstly I putted in Nightportrait the shade (one push) whitebalance but it doesn`t work. I don't have any ideas now to put in! I'm very pleased with 2.44, its flexibility allow us to make good pics in any conditions.

Raider

The joystick can be enabled to function in a particular case supermode left / rigth EV controls for the models w810/k750 well disable the zoom function and the controller would be worked EV but in other models the joystick supposedly would be up / down and "eureka" but!!! that the question as this enables it to the same function.
As the zoom asociate combines the functions EV joystick controlling the intensity button volume + / - because the intensity of the functions saturation / contrast / ISO / Shutter / Exposure bla bla bla etc.. are adjusted in volume + / - but are not associated with the joystick.

I read 3 times but I didn't understand the meaning.....

We have:
Mini Supermode by me: Selection with Effects, Settings are done with Stick
Maxi Supermode by Raider: Selection with Stick, Setting done with Zoom

These modes are not implemented in Ultimate.

Well sometimes I am not expressed well . i explain...

We will by step:
Supermode can draw "almost" complete setup for the cameras phones that have capabilities to perform these functions determined by sensors and chips like as w810/k750 k810/k790... also de cameras w610/k550
The supermode is also valid because of all these factors sensors-hardware-chip
Why supermode "almost" complete for camera phones
because i think Raider must implement some more adjustments perhaps of more advanced color correction... in future.Ok thats the point
What would be a minisupermode, would be for cameras that do not support these skills poor in resources that the other is described here as the series but we can do a minimode because superminimode worked with that and we can change the saturation / brightness / exposure / WB with such few resources that the cameras poorest offer.
Ok but the problem is that we not getting implement associate functions to be commanded by joystick is working only by the volume button + / - and using only the button volume + / - is very limited.
Only Raider knows how to associate work with joystick along with the volume + / - because the property ZOOM button joystick will be replaced depending on the model can be rigth / left up / down
The fact that you are saying that effect? Because I could only purpose of brightness working with WB RGB replacing the property for purposes pseudo scenes.
Your idea pietropizzi and the idea sadeghi85 is good but the supermode have to work with these commands because the idea was not simply working with the joystick rather replace the effects of a manual settings and apply within the supermode would be more practical for users because have a screen.
Commands must be coupled already ready before applying in effect because the property effects = solarize / sepia ... etc blocks any command and stimulus
The idea is to group the supermode in propridade effect this is a idea.A other is leaving the supermode like this in the property and add other effects methods as effects luminosity but worth it better for these models that support various functions such as ISO / Shutter / Custom_WB / Width like as w810/k750 k810/k790 w610/k550 and models for poorer a use of a superminimode.
I don´t know if i expressed well.
