@ number1
is there a command to set max iso in non flash mode?
Posted by number1
why do you want max iso???
the simple way to do it is with the joystick set the exposure to +2.0 then will be using max iso 1600.
Posted by jjokeris
When I shoot in normal mode I have Iso 80/shutter 1/250 and the pic is fine. When shooting portrait I have Iso500!!!/shutter 1/2000 and the pic is full of RGB dots...it is awful...I want to limit Iso to 250 max which I think it is acceptable (at least for my old slr canon cam)
Posted by jjokeris
I want to give priority to low Iso settings(<250) and at the same time to limit shutter speed from 1/6 to 1/1600....I am in deep water I think...
Posted by number1
look at the size of the lens of your slr canon cam, now look at the size of the lens on the k800i notice the difference, k800i must ampilfy the light more because of it's tiny lens therefore use higher isos and longer shutter speeds.
what your asking is possible but stupid because low-light pics with iso 250 and 1/600 shutter speed would be completey dark and you wouldn't be able to see anything.

I agree but that is why we have dif modes. We could set portrait for good light and mid light photos and nightportrait for low light pics.In portrait I d like a max iso 250 with shutter 1/6 to 1/3200.
Posted by number1
i'm working on a new driver with different modes of shooting, but i am unable to think of modes each scene can have 3 different modes.
so far i have
-normal mode>
Full focus Mode- full Af is used (maybe some1 can suggest something better).
Good Light Mode- Mode for shooting in good light high sharpness (05), more colour saturation (08), iso limited to 125.
Night Mode- less sharpness(02) for less noise & less colour sat(06) for less noise shutter speed can drop to 1/5 iso limited at 500.
-Document mode>
NA.
Good Light Mode Document- Mode for shooting in good light very high sharpness, more colour saturation, iso limited to 125.
Night Mode Document less sharpness(06) for less noise & less colour sat(07) for less noise shutter speed can drop to 1/6.
-Landscape mode>
NA.
Good Light Landscape Mode - Mode for shooting in good light high sharpness, more colour saturation.
Landscape night mode- mode for night, shutter speed can drop to 1/2 iso is 200, sharpness & saturation reduced, normal whitebalance & photometering.
-Sports Mode>
NA.
Sports macro mode.
NA.
-Portrait>
NA.
Portrait good light mode - mode for shooting portrait pics in good light, more sharpness & colour saturation iso limited to 125.
NA.
-Nightportrait>
NA.
Night portrait good light mode more sharpness & colour sat for use in good light.
Night Macro Mode full range af & more sharpness for a night macro, flash iso 100 & flash shutter 1/25.
-Twilightlandscape>
NA.
Super TwlightLandscape mode - colour sat reduced, shutter speed can drop to 2seconds iso is 100.
Good Light TwlightLandscape mode- shapness is increased, colour saturation is increased.
-Beach_snow
Beach_snow Good Light Mode- Mode for shooting in good light high sharpness (05), more colour saturation (06), iso limited to 125.
NA.
NA.
where it says NA there is missing modes please suggest some within reason and in the same format, please don't ask for manual iso etc,.

What are the limitations for one mode? Can we have two dif iso values in the same mode in your new drv?
Posted by number1
no not two different iso values not really that many limitations look at the modes that already exist something along them lines.

My opinion is that for normal mode we want "quick" photos.Maybe you should think of "flat" photos. That is no much of anything. If someone wants ,uses photoshop, corel or anything else. ISOs should be kept low (priority) and shutter speed low (down to 1/6 i think is ok for steady pics).Normal ISO @500 is too much.Up to 320 is ok.Using low ISO and low speed we have good "depth" in the photo.I mean clean foreground and background ,especially at close pics.At portrait there should be Clean foreground and "blurred" background. So we need fast shutter speed and higher ISO (or flash)...artistic approach...We also can use it to freeze the rain at higher shutter speeds (up to 1/5000).Document mode is good the way you thought of it.An alternative is to use doc mode as VIVID mode for good light conds...all full!!!Landscape is perfect too.Nightportrait should be flat too I think.I preffer a flat one than a ruined one because of the colored dots.Twilightlandscape is good with 2 sec shutter but you have to be ....a rock to keep it steady. Is there a setting to choose 2 or 1 sec?

Here are some photos with 2.99.9se2 mod by me.
flower with low iso .The bright one is with ff.I shot with good sun light thats why is over expsd but with mid light is fine. Some settings are wrong,I know, but I am just a poor boy from a poor family...I mean I no nothing about programming, just reading and trying to figure out what you and UCD are doing.Maybe you could also think of ff....
all pics resized to 800x600 and compressed by 15%

Hello guys,
How can I backup the original camdriver0.dat using XS++?
They download button is greyed out. I can't make a backup copy of the original file, just in case I need to send my set for warranty claim.
Thanks a bunch!!!

normal mode remains the same as last version for simple quick photos i have only added extra modes, by flat you mean less sharpness i have already decreased the sharpness on night modes, normally it would use iso 640 on really low light pics, so iso 500 is less and a improvement, my portrait mode is already set up correctly as you said, you have sports mode if you want higher shutter speeds, document already has the so called vivid mode it's called daylight mode and has higher colour sat etc, 2 sec shutter speed is an opition twlightlight landscape mode remains the same as the last version 1 sec shutter and iso 125, i have actually added to it and completed twlightlandscape now it's like this
normal 1 sec iso 125
mode 1-2sec iso 100
mode 2- 1/2 iso 200
and i changed the night mode on landscape to
1/4 iso 400

what about mid light photos (let s say evening photos) or heavy cloudy or in sade?In most cases we need flash in order to have clear pic. If we raise ISO we have RGB dot. Will there be an optional ff?More light will be needed and the only way is flash I think...Anyway I m looking forward for this drv.I d like to test any beta you make
ps.All my photos are about 800kb.I think for photo of 3mp it should be 50% bigger size. That is 1100-1300kb.Can you fix it?Can we bypass the compression? This would be a big step! The quality would be great.I use a Panasonic video camera @3mp and the dif is remarkable (I do not dare to campare to my nikon camera!!!.)

Thank you for the links.
Do you know how to backup the camdriver0.dat using XS++?
Posted by jrocks0829
@number1
i really appreciate your camera driver, but i would suggest you to optimize its FPS during photo shoot since people are sometimes in a hurry taking pictures, but unfortunately your current updated driver, 2.99 special ed 2, isn't providing a better fps, would you mind consider try making it like with UCD, it's current version has more fps and then it has a faster auto focus, why not try optimizing your driver, i would really appreciate that.
Posted by number1
@jjokeris- increasing the file size beyond 900kb is impossible the camera will just crash it's limited the best i could do was to set it so you would get at least 800kb
@jrocks0829 the viewfinder fps affects the shutter speed so quicker fps would mean darker noiser photos.
Posted by jjokeris
The camera will crash?Why?
Posted by number1
because anthing over 908kb the phone can't handle it or maybe it's just a limit set by the firmware i don't know.
Posted by jjokeris
if you increase the buffer size x2 or x3 and the "save time"?
ps.maybe there should be a ff daylight mode with fast shutter speed...

Well I've been trying to find out... and I guess that the buffer is changeable.
I've taken a picture and saved it over and over using PhotoFix and the size reached to 1500KB. So, the phone can handle the size, it just needs a revise.

now i use 2.99 SE2

sport of course

Try all modes and see what is best for you. The drv SE2 version has fast shutter speed anyway in all modes.Try all, normal, doc, portrait and sport.

thanks for answering me. but sport mode only use for good condition. Right? in low light, we can't use sport. What mode should we choose? Sorry for my question
