make sure your not using the sports scene, and it's normal the flash only fires in low light.
Posted by jjokeris
look at these pics.All conf incld
Posted by number1
you do realise that this is a mobile phone and not DSLR camera so of corse there is gonna be noise in low-light pics. with the flower you should have used macro or document mode when taking a pic that close also if the pic looks to dark on the viewfinder then turn up the ev to +0.3 with the joystick.
Posted by jjokeris
I know it is a mobile phone camera but with your help I think it is more than that...at least we all hope so.I attach a pic with macro and exp time...5000!!!
Concerning low light cont.,is it possible to force flash when red eye mode is selected eg at portrait scene?I know I am asking too much...but I am just suggesting a possible way to make it better...
Posted by bryanjay420
can you compare these pics...what can you say...both in extreme darkness flash fired...
ultimate 2.60 withan [auto+macro mode]
number1 2.99.9 se2 [document mode]

I have already many good photos with that driver.I am just shooting in...medium-low light conditions or in shade with light background.When all in light or dark everything is very very good.

what is your problem with the quick shutter speeds, yes my driver in good light will produce quicker shutter speeds than most other drivers because i turned down the exposure slighty because i don't like over exposured photos, the quicker shutter speeds are a advantage the focus will be quicker, you don't have to hold the phone still so long the chances of a blurry photo is less. it is possible to force the flash but i prefer the flash as normal.
@bryanjay420, so which driver was closed to the real colour???.
Posted by jjokeris
This is a pic taken the same day with no difficult light condition.I am trying to do the best settings for difficult light conditions just like my previous posted pics
Posted by bryanjay420
@number1
i dont know...ultimate got the real colors for that plant..but with your camdriver i think its more alive...or should i say i could always take good shots even without light with your camdriver...but i use both number1 and ultimate for my pics...
Posted by number1
i see you were using the older 2.99.5 use 2.99.9 i wasn't happy with the flash settings in 2.99.5 so i changed them all in 2.99.9.
Posted by bryanjay420
im sorry....but thats 2.99.9 se2...

I don't have a problem...I like it for the reasons you mentioned.I like your driver...But 5000 is too much I think.This is for the sports mode.At 3000 you can "freeze" the raindrops.Anyway I think that if forced flash existed in portrait or night p. ,it would give us ,in some conditions,the freedom to customize the photo as we like...if you make a beta version I 'd try it...
thanx for the driver
Posted by number1
the most i've had is 1/3200 on auto mode, i don't really use sports mode but the whole point of this mode is to capture very fast moving objects.

(I know nothing about programming but) Is it difficult to make a trial version with ff in one of the modes just to try it?

no but i have tried force flash before but i didn't like it because i kept forgetting to turn the flash off so when i took a picture in good light the flash would still fire and give a completey white photo.
Posted by jjokeris
I agree but there are conditions that ff is needed.1.medium-low outdoor light conditions 2.indor pics with lights 3.object in shade with background light d.beach/snow pics...faces are always dark if sun doesn t comes directly on them...for me these are good reasons...but it is your driver and still the best I have tried...
Posted by jomateixa
@jjokeris
Is an evidence that forced flash is a cool feature, it gives to you more possibilities for taking photos. For example, yesterday I made a portrait with flash at late evening with the beach as background and had a really beautiful result.
@number1
If you don't force the flash RER is not a problem
Posted by number1
force flash isn't for me so i can't be botherd with it i don't want to over compucate my driver because i would never be able to remember what setting does what.

@all
based on bryanjay420's findings with flash colours i updated the link for 2.99.9 SE2 with alot better flash colour settings for the lower iso's.

@number1
Since flash isn t activated when indoor with lights, (and you do not want to ff) maybe you could make it in such a way that it would be activated even if the light wouldn t be too low,that is to adjust the limit ,the sensitivity of it...
Just an alternative for improvement ...
I hope I won t bother you again
Today I ll try the new one

That's making a house out of a piece of wood. LOL!

you guys are excellent modders. One camdriver takes certain pictures better than those with others and vice versa.
It is a matter of personal preference. One may not like what others do like.
For me, all of you camdriver modders so far are the best! My snappy salute to all of you!

Use joystick right left move and *....that is....>*<<*<* (you wont see anything unless you finish) then 1st choice,2nd choice and move down for the drv ver.

Ps Number 1: what camera driver is better? 2.9 or the newest 2.99.9? With 2.9 it's difficult to shoot someone is moving. the photo is not sharp. right? Thanks
Posted by number1

it sounds like you have no usb flash driver installed, in the setool2 lite folder is a folder called drivers then inside it a folder called USBFlash_driver then inside that one a file called ggsemc.inf right click it and press install.

hi...i'm still getting the same thing...just like my print screen...T_T

i have question...why is that when i take pic at twilight portrait the light become orange???here are some samples...
2.99.9 se2
2.6 withan
Posted by number1
@ rubbershoes
you have installed the camdriver wrongly or you have put it in the wrong place it should be in ifs/settings/camera and named camdriver0.dat please check it.
@ bryanjay420
the k800i's flicker correction only updates when you open the camera shutter i tried to make it update more but i don't think it worked, you must open the camera shutter in the same place & under the same lighting conditions your gonna shoot the pic in.
Posted by rubbershoes
camdriver0.dat camdriver1.dat were at ifs/setting/camera folder.. tried installing it again and still i have the same error msg. i hav gdfs backup.. will this restore from the original state or flashing FS will do the trick??
btw .. my system/camera folder is empty.. Any suggestion??
Thanks NUMBER1..

It should be because of JPEG buffers or JPEG compression or "slow sync"...
Have you tryed to make it with some of Goldmixes....?
Posted by rubbershoes
@ NUMBER1.. got it this time after 4 attempts.. now its working.. thanks.. sorry im just a newbie in modding..

JPEG settings are just JPEG settings they don't control colours or anything if the flash was used then yes it was the 1/2 sec shutter speed my twlight portrait mode has.
Posted by bryanjay420
i dont know...its just when i took pics at a not so good light condition the light become orange...specially with 2.99.9 se2...in withan 2.6 no problem coz i know i can make some special effects with it and the light is not very orange...

@number1
Have you noticed difference between your settings of 2.99 and some of your next or previous camdrivers...
Try to change whole property 5 only,nothing else...
Also you can try to set default JPEG buffers...

Jpeg are just jpeg settings they control nothing else, i'm pretty sure i had this argument with raiderski once but the other way round, but anyway he was correct jpeg settings are just jpegs settings nothing more they don't control exposure colour or anything, i don't have a problem with orange lights but i know how the flicker correction works and that it only updates once the second the lens cover is opened, so point the camera at the orange light then open the lens cover, then take the pic and the flicker correction will be correct, whats needed is manual flicker correction like some nokia's have.
