Hi all,
Well this problem is now getting worse for me also actually it's starting to get really annoying as i am getting logged out randomly whilst navigating around the Forum and virtually every time i go to post even though i was logged on only minutes earlier i have to log in again. Still no one with any idea what may be causing it?
Marc

I still can't reproduce the problem on win xp, vista, mac or linux using various browsers. Always works fine here
It's almost certainly got to be a session variable problem but I'm still stumped as to what's actually causing it

Maybe it's the secret Esato logger-outer...

Noticed yesterday and today it's logged me out when I've come back onto Esato after going to bed, hope it doesn't start becoming more prevalent!

Hi all,
Well for me at least it is getting worse i have now lost count of just how many times i have had to login in the last 48hrs but if i was getting paid for it each time i would now be seriously rich. Nothing has changed on my Laptop and i always tick the keep m logged in box and it makes no difference.

ok, try this (in windows xp)
go to;
start>control panel>network and internet connections>internet options.
under the security tab click trusted sites, and put in: http://www.esato.com
next:
then under internet options click on the privacy tab and click "sites" and put in http://www.esato.com in the "address of website" field and click "allow" (don't press enter when entering the website because it will "block" the site instead of allowing it) now click "ok"
hopefully helpfull

Hi all,
Well this is the only Forum of the many that i visit on a daily basis that i am having this problem with it used happen occasionally but now happens all the time. I have learnt to live with it as there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done to fix it.

Same story with me. This happened quite recently. Earlier on there have always been no problems.

Started happening to me, and with a username like mine is a pain in the ass

To bring this back to the top, I have never had a problem with having to log in at home using Firefox - work is different but that has always been like that - but I am having to log in every time I now go back to this site. I have it bookmarked and password saved etc but in the past week or so, it has changed..
Anyone any answers please?
Doug

Now I'm having this problem..I have my pc on dual boot with vista and xp.
I don't use my vista that much(once or twice a week)..last week i logged into esato from my vista..and i accidentally checked that keep me logged in option..now I've been on xp for the past 4 days now and whenever my browser session closes i get logged out of esato even after checking that keep me logged in option..
So today i went back to vista and deleted my firefox vista's esato cookies..but alas no solution..my xp firefox still logs out esato after every closure..
No problems using esato before i stored the cookies on vista..
I tried to do this same thing with the gamespot forum..but it accepts my xp firefox cookies and stores them..even though i have that site's cookies already stored on my firefox vista..

It heppaned again. I was kicked out twice last night.

no that doesnt help at all. not everyone changed their cookie settings at the same time you know
its the problem with the website, and its now been almost 2 months.

AFAIK PHP session handler is very sensitive.

It's doing it to me now!
The only thing I've done differently is to log in to esato on a Vista laptop via my wireless home router without logging out of esato on my main PC (connected to the same router via ethernet cable) first.
Now esato keeps forgetting me on both the PC and laptop.

it forgets me on my mac all the time...........
tres annoying to say the least!
Posted by Twometre
It goes back to what I suspected, it might not be a problem with esato but the browsers we are using might be experincing some problems.

I don't think it's browser based because if that were the case, why did it not do it before I started using the laptop?
It's looking like it might be something to do with logging in on more than one computer / device.
Posted by The Lostprophet
look in on both my mac and my pc. when i log in on my macbook it forgets me on my pc, untill i log in and press remember me (or whatever its calls) and then remembers me again, so its not about logging on in to different places.

It's just done it to me...first time in 5 years of using the site.
-Incidentally, I only ever use the site via my online computer connection.

...that said, it seems fine now. Seems to have been a one off...hopefully.

. . . . NOT been' experiencing this problem since I joined here . . .

On my phone, i always get logged off in case the gprs connection drops. This doesn't happen on my pc though.

This has started happening to me today. Everytime I go to look at my bookmarks, reply to a thread, look at my pm's I have to log in.
I've never had this problem on my home computer before and everything was fine last night.
Its bad enough that its been happening on our phones for the last 3 years and now on the home computer as well
Makes it even more of a reason not to use Esato anymore because of the time wasted constantly logging on.
Don't even get me started on the Wrong Username and/or Password message when my username and password is stored already.
