Heres a bit of a big suggestion - it would take a bit of work to pull off.
But how about something along the lines of MySpace or Facebook right here on Esato? I'm not suggesting anything as big as those sites, but perhaps our profile page could be a little more interactive.
Here are some ideas:
- People can upload a profile picture of themselves or their mobile phone.
- People can write a bit about themselves and their interests and their phone.
- Others can leave public comments on the members profile.
- Profile will show the latest posts by each user.
- Profile will show and link to any photos or themes by each user.
- Simple colour themes for each 'Space'.
- Member can create their own mini polls or quizzes to be shown on their 'Space'.
- Profile will show when the member was last online.
- Profile will keep a log of the members total hours spent on Esato.
- Profile could show achievements like if somebody won in the Esato awards.
- Profile could be linked to the trusted sellers and could show a member's rating.
Thats all I can think of at the moment. Others may feel free to suggest things.
So... Is anyone with me on this one?

Would be interesting, but Esato is fine as it is.
We do see improvements every now and then and i'm sure Laffen and co. are working on more improvements as we speak!

nice idea, but imo esato should stay as it is and not turn into a chit-chat show, like the sites mentioend in the first post... there are more then enough sites to load up personal datas, what for example i would never do, not even my personal pic would put in a public website, not to mention personal infos

I like this idea but not too keen on the idea of the public comments or the polls and quiz's. But the rest of it sounds fine.
Think the feedback rating in particular would be better for the traders in here as it will be on there profile

Lol yeh thats an option
But being in the profile would mean its legit and being done by the mods so a newbie shouldnt be worried at all

Uploading your own or shal I say personal photo is always optional. You can just put your favourite pet
or any pic you like or just leave it blank. Members can be rated just to add fun. Ofcourse in such a thing you are the moderator of your own page or profil while the mods take care of the whole site as well as your page. Click here to see an example of this.

Yeah thats true. And it was just an idea I had a few days back and wanted to gage everyones reaction to it. I thought it would be a nice idea, and it wouldn't have to go into as much detail as facebook, etc.
Pictures could just be of a phone, not yourself. So BobaFett, you could put in a pic of your beloved Ericssons instead! Maybe the quizzes and polls wouldn't go down so well, but I think some of my other suggestions would stand up pretty well, especially the seller feedback as it would be official if it were on your profile.

@Muhhumad as I said its a good idea and I like it. Anyways its all in the choice of the member as to what to use to fill in the profile. I dont know how Laffen would take it but I would jump to it if I was him. Again its all about choices. One said this will turn ESATO into a chatting site. Well I dont think so mate. If so then we are already half chating then.
But then its almost like chating if you browse the Garbage threads and the Non mobile discussions The only difference is that our is more frormal and organised

I so do not support that! This is esato, its esato because its simple and straight forward and the above mentioned stuff just drags it down to myspace level, which is like, way too low
So please, dont you be giving lafen any ideas!
The only people i can expect to support those points who are new at esato or who dont visit it a lot. But for those who come here day and night, i'm sure they wont like it just like i dont.

I am on here most days and nights, and I wouldn't mind seeing this feature. To be honest, its only really you and BobaFett who have been completely opposed to it so far.
You can always ignore it too.
I think a feature like this could attract new people here because many people are into this kind of thing.

@QVGA and Bobafett a wise king once asked that how do you trap a monkey? Again I want to add and say that that we are not supporting the change of esato but we just want to see some addition to our satisfactory if that can be possible. This is just a suggestion to the probile only not to the whole forum or site. As we speak of now some of the esato profiles are not fully filled, that shows that if a thing is optional it is just optional. Many reasons could influence that. Some may be lacking knoledge
yet some are just left for obvious reasons. And some are just blank for reasons known to the users 
who knows
