I'm not certain, but I think you have to top up each month to get the free top up as well, might be wrong though.
Also, I wouldn't have said that virgin deal is better now, people have been up in arms about it. If before you topped up £30 and got a free unlock, at least you got £30 of credit to use, but now they CHARGE you £15 with nothing free in sight :/

The 3mp Samsung E590 is back at CPW... for just £29.95:

Use promotional code FD685 for a further £5.00 off. Delivery is free.
I did email them to make sure it wasn't just an unlocked handset as opposed to a true factory sim-free one.

new housing may cost £10?

I did see yours, but I'm too fussy to buy one with some wear that needs a new housing!

You know what this form needs a instant message alert to your phone notifing us about these deals from this thread
btw im watching the W980 I really would like that one
Posted by Bonovox
Yuk i hate the W980i. Looks ok closed but open it up its horrible that keypad is ugly and im not a fan of clamshells anyway. Though the idea of alerts to our phones on bargains is a good idea. Can anyone set that up for us
Posted by Miss UK
ive only seen it advertised and advert on tv simply says it all lol
is it really rubbish then?
I think it looks a nice bit of kit
never had a flip
Posted by Bonovox
The camera is in a really awkward position. What Hi Fi never rated its sound at all. Anyway today i just past the O2 shop and the Samsung G600 is now £99.99 there now.
Posted by Miss UK
I would like to try it out but I think I should stay away from phones fullstop,
bad idea me getting jobs with phone companys too
keep a eye out on prices for me on it guys anyway !
Posted by Bonovox
I know its not a bargain. But today i seen the Samsung Omnia 16 giga byte on Vodafone for £400. Is that right or is it cheaper elsewhere. Though it sounds about right to me cos its similar pricing to iphone on pre pay.

Yeah I noticed this on Amazon, noticed also that they were selling it on Orange PAYG for £105, now I'm guessing its just the sim-free model bundled with an Orange sim card as I don't think Orange have ever sold this phone directly.

Nokia 5310 refurb on O2, £49.99!!
http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_p[....]mobile_phones/Pay_And_Go/page2
Posted by Bonovox
Nice find. I had one of them phones briefly but returned it as it kept turning off. That was with new firmware aswell. Plus it was useless at picking up a signal probably cos of its thinness. Had great sound quality from music player though.
Posted by Ridahz
What do those refurbs come with James?
Any idea?
Posted by Daedalus85
Based on what I know from reading things (nothing learnt from O2 as we don't sell them, O2 Telesales sell them, not retail), the minimum you can expect is phone, battery, charger and a white box.
But you may get more.

£59.99 now

Looking in the new Tesco Direct catalogue there are some decent bargains. On Tesco Mobile the 5 mega pixel camera phone LGKC550 is now £99.97 LG KF600 now £99.97 and Viewty at £139.97 on Orange and Tesco. Not bad.

Where did that phone come from?
Posted by weirdwilli
Huh?
Oh its a Japanese phone made by sony.
Posted by ofiaich
Hi !
do a search here for Sony a and also Sony Ericsson SO905iCS and you will find lots of information.
For example here
Email and internet will not work unless it is used on the Docomo network with a Docomo contract. I think so because the apn cannot be changed.
I know this was true for Sharp 903 and The Sony Ericsson 802 s-e
From this thread " only voice calls, media player, sms and camera work " if not used on a Japanese network with Japanese contract.
This thread also discusses the phone...

In 3UK stores the brand new Skype phone which has much better specs they are currently doing 2 of them for £99. Nice.

LG KF700 (3"touchscreen) phone now reduced to £109.99 on O2's site.
Wow, an 80-odd quid reduction in one swoop?!
http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_p[....]e=/mobile_phones/Pay_And_Go/LG
Posted by Daedalus85
It's £99 in store plus a £10 top up, so still £109 but you get a tenner credit
Great phone for the money, think Viewty with a narrower toucher screen, a real keypad and a smaller camera.
Posted by Bonovox
Yes nice phone nice price. Im actually tempted by that. Daedalus do you get many of those LGs back in store or are they pretty reliable. Its just i had a bad experience with LG. If i got one of those now on my O2 pre pay number i would get £20 off for upgrade reward as it stands now plus another £20 for trade in. I noticed anything above £100 in store is normally £20 trade in.
Posted by Daedalus85
I think it may be a £10 trade in on that one, but check in store.
If it was, and you had £20 discount, but you still have to buy £10 credit (some stores let this go, though they really shouldn't) then it'd be £79.99 with the credit, which is pretty good
We haven't any back that I remember, most of the LG's are good now, at least the touch screen ones are. The ones with that Touchscreen LG OS interface are pretty good to be honest.
Posted by Bonovox
Well thats good news then im quite tempted by it. I remember the discussion we had regarding the £10 top thing. A few stores told me when upgrading that i only had to do the top if i did not have a upgrade reward on my number. I also had a receipt which said on it. For the attention of the sales assistant IF ITS A NEW CUSTOMER PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU TOP UP THIS NEW PHONE WITH AT LEAST £10. So its still confusing whats the deal on that. Anyway yes i think i may get one. I want HSDPA maybe my connection problems might be better. Lol.
