Nice find, not bad for a basic device.

Yeah I saw it in the local Woolies; just beyond me that there's no video recording with that 1.3mp cam... talk about retrogressive! The same with the 1.3mp cam in the forthcoming
T303..
Now obviously this is a more budget or fashion-orientated handset, but come on...
Whether I'm in the market for a secondary phone/fashion phone /whatever or not, that kind of retrogressive step really puts me off a manufacturer.
Kinda like when the 2mp cam modules in some of the later
phones weren't quite in the same league as e.g. the K750i's, W800i/W810i etc etc.
I've a soft spot for
, but I'll never be a blind fanboy trying to impossibly justify such
actions..
Sorry for the mini-offload, but I ain't impressed,
, whether this be a budget or fashion phone...or not.

Samsung phone £99.99

Oh believe me, when it came out (like, the first few weeks), it really was
My Dad was one of the first to get one, got it haggled down to £70 on his contract, and for it's day and age (it's hard to remember just how little we had back then) it was amazing. Really a feat of enginering. Yeah, it had few features but it was the thinnest coolest phone around and really had some impact.
But oh yeah, it's crap now a days, tho you get a stylish phone with Bluetooth and a camera and a decent MP3 ringtone speaker for £30, thats pretty good.
Posted by Bonovox
Yeah i see your point though the V3i was better but the V3 camera was so bad it may as well not have been put on it.
Posted by bearcub24
I remember back in 2004/2005 the V3 was the phone "everyone" wanted, early editions came in an OTT aluminium box, still got mine, bought it but the UI was typical Moto, at the time I much preferred the Nokia 6230 (still got that too

W350i from CPW on PAYG is only £59.95 on O2 plus £10 top-up.
Electric Black
Ice Blue
These are selling on Ebay at upto £125!

I used a V3 for a day and put it back in the box swapped it for a PSP with another person on dis place. The phone was terrible! Btw can u lot lookout for a 5300 on T-Mob, or Vodafone, I want it cheap £30 if poss always wanted one even if its just to replace my 6100
Posted by Bonovox
Miss UK its upto you but i would not recommend getting the 5300. Reason being i used to have one as a spare but got rid of it. Its so so poor at getting a signal with that phone its almost a joke and it would be even worse on T Mobile. When i had one where i normally get solid 5 bar signal with that phone i bearly got 2 bars. Absolutely awful phone. Though its upto to you of course if its for someone else.
Posted by Miss UK
WoW My 6100 is pretty good then considering how old that is, theres just something I like about that 5300 tho, that White and 0range lol i'll look into them anyway, soon be working/training with teens and I dont fancey loosing my N95-2 to them! The F300 is nice to doubt there cheap but

Can I suggest that we get back on subject. This is about posting bargains not discussing old phones.

I bet PK is happy now
And sorry to 'thread steal', but Kerry, I had a 5300 for about 4 months, and it was one of the single best phones I've ever owned, especially for a back up. Strong, bouncy, reliable, likes being thrown on the ground a little (
Posted by Bonovox
But its still got very poor signal
Posted by Daedalus85
Must have been broken, mine was superb
Posted by haynesycop
