hm..the 7650 can be used against other 7650!

Hi all,

Just an FYI. If you noticed, my site just released a software utility called SMan by Droll. He is now testing some bluejacking functionality on v1.1 and that would be available when it's ready. This will make the P800 a better bluejacking device than the T68 (which is now the easiest phone to use for such things do to it's easier menu interface and small design). The possibilities are endless with such a software application.

Cheers,

I am still yet to bluejack anyone using my T68i or P800. I

am also yet to run into anyone that actually know what bluetooth is, I still have to explain it to everyone.

"So it's Infra Red then?" No it's not!!!

Shame I can't pair my Vaio with my neighbours brick.
Now that would be fun.....

I'm gonna try and send it a note from my Clie when he comes home, just to see if it works.

@nsingleton:

Why do you need to pair if you want to bluejack?

I read this thread a while back - only this morning on the commute in though did I remember to try it - two Nokias, 7650 and a 6310, plus, a Karl's phone! Genius!!

The commute is an ideal time to try this out, what with every muppet using PDA's, headsets, laptops etc.!

Steven.

No, bluetooth always on, does not drain nokia battery, I was a 7650 user, always on my bluetooth hoping someone bluejack me, battery have same performace with bluetooth off.

@all:

I was at a gathering over the weekend where all the esato members in the Klang Valley (Malaysia) met up at AmCorp Mall.

After our gathering, it just so happens that there was the Klang Valley Palm Users Group meeting at the same venue in the afternoon. Managed to BlueJack about six of their members, one guy was just two seats away from me and when he received it, started showing his friends and I happily blurted his name out as my scalp prize. He turned around to look at me and say "you?" and we both laughed and shook hands. Was the friendliest victim... err... person there.

BlueJacked another guy who I was told was a doctor and he just gave a frustrated look and pointed to our group. Shithappens was with me and we of coz had many other victims who quickly learned what being a BlueJack victm was...

Though I'd share this with you guys.

SE forever!

Ohhh! Droll is sorting out some BlueJacking details and when the proggy is ready, I'll make sure you guys get to know about it first.

Cheers,

ah damn, too bad my phone doesn't support BT :'(

soon.........sooon..... i'm figuring out how to use mutexes or critical sections now seeing how bluejacking is something u'd probably want to run in the background as a separate thread to sman.

Another BlueJacking Story!
Last week I went to a party with my friends, and while fooling around I saw a pretty girl doing something with her 7650. Quickly I made a BlueTooth search and my R520m found her phone! I made a Businness Card as "How's music tonight?" and/or "You're so pretty tonight!" I tried to send but it couldn't connect many times. Again I searched for her and found again, but when I tried sending again it failed again and again! Am I doing something wrong? As I know Nokias don't need pairing...

Posted by stebbers
another bluejacking idea perhaps... this my first post on this forum and have been laughing out loud at all the bluejacking stories!ok well i have a laptop myself and im sure many of you have pdas, i havent tried this before but perhaps if you are close to somebody in a cafe or on the train you can access the net on your pda/laptop throught their BT device? I am not sure how close you have to be though.

NOTE: I do not promote hacking or the uploading of viruses via other people's connections and therefore remaining anonymous in anyway shape or form i am merely identifying a new possible bluejack.

If anybody tries this let me know. PS any1 know of any T68i or similar IRC channels?

Posted by fonzki
now stebbers, that i think is not possible without pairing your laptop with the phone first. When you pair, you'll have to ask the permission of the phone first, that wouldn't be bluejacking, would it?

Posted by droll
yes, you need pairing. i tried it with an ipaq. my phone does a GSM dial-up when IE on the ipaq tries to browse the internet.

Posted by mrj82
Finally I got to bluejack something! I went to the t-mobile store today to pay my bill but before I went in I did a search and found a nokia 3650. So I tried sending the guy in the store a midi file and he was like what the hell is going on. So I went in and paid my bill and checked out the nokia. Maybe they will become more popular and give me some prey since this is one thing that just doesn't happen in the U.S. (bluejacking).

Wow when will there be BT in my T300 I WANT BT!

My first real BlueJacking eXPerience!
Today I was on a bus, I saw a guy playing a game in his 7650, I made a Bluetooth search and I got "Dogan" as the guy gave his name to his phone. I made a business card as "What a nice phone Dogan!". I connected and sent it right away. The guy looked at his phone and turned to his friend saying "Hey look, someone sent this over BlueTooth!" I hid my R520m in my pocket and sat like nothing happened. He just looked around and nothing then...It was so fun!

Posted by stebbers
ah fonzki i hadnt tried that much, when you attempt to pair a BT device with eg ur t68i it asks you for a pin - if you happened to know the default pin for the device you were trying to connect to, and the receiver hadnt changed it - would u then be able to access the device? or is input required on both devices? just asking becase...

desparate to get my 1st victim i stood outside my local T-Mobile shop and a BT search found the HP 995c printer inside! ive since found out that the default BT pin for these devices is 0 (zero) it would be so funny if i was able to output (contacts..) to this printer, dont know if its poss tho i will try it soon!

Hey m8's,

Yesterday I was in the "Automobilistic Show in Barcelona" and it was plenty of people. So I decided to do a "Discover" with my T68i, trying to search a finnish brick called Nokia 7650, but I realized that I found some "HP 995" Printers around me. So I started to search them, and they were at the stand of "Mazda". I took a pic of a very-beatiful-girls with the communicam and I sent it to all printers located at the mazda place.

I waited for the results of the massive attack to the printers!!

And....

WOW!!!! I saw that a guy that was trying to sell a mazda car to someone was stunned looking at the photo of the very-beatiful-girls doing a strange faces trying to hide his surprise.

It was amazing!!! Long life to BT!!

Cheers,

NetGuy2

@all:

Just to let you know that I have the latest beta version of SMan v1.1 and the Bluejack option works. It's called Bluesweep. Why "bluesweep?" hehehehe... you guys go figure, at least until the program is ready.

Keep watching this thread...

Cheers,

Bluesweep?! COOOOL! :-)

Posted by punkserb
well i converted to the "dark side!!!" I upgraded to a nokia 3650. yea its big but i LOVE IT! the camera and screen is great, the programs are super, i love the series 60 OS. can't wait till a bluesweep program comes out for series 60!!! but don't worry, i'll be nice to all my SE brothers because i was with all of you for such a long time since my t39m to my t68i, you guys are the best!

BTW, i'm doing infrared-jacking in school! you see, i put a program called irremote on my 3650, and i can control almost any TV from my phone! itis hilarious to see teachers wonder what the hell is going on when a tv suddenly turns on in class! i love it! only a few more weeks of school left till i graduate, need to have some fun!

Posted by tr1xt3r
The P800 also has d IR app. works great n d house!

Posted by ajack
@punkserb:

Sorry to hear you have fallen into the dark side.

Ahh! One more victim in the making...

Unless there is a P800 idiot switching his/her bluetooth on all the time, Nokia (or anybody else) has no chance of bluejacking an Ericsson or Sony Ericsson.

@all:

The bluesweep crashes at least once a day, now has a log file to keep track of who you bluejacked. There was a logic bug in SMan that droll just fixed today, will let you guys know when it is ready. Need to implement a few other features.

Cheers,

Posted by punkserb
@ajack: its true, i don't think i'll have much of a chance bluejacking SE's. but unlike most nokia users, i don't leave my bluetooth on non-stop, and i'll even bluejack them for being so ignorant!! hahaha! i still love SE, its just my new 3650 suits me so much better than t68i (beter screen builtin camera...) and better than a T610 (expandable memory, video recorder, both of which i use often) and even a P800 (the price only, i'll admit the P800 makes the 3650 look like a toy). and its not as big as i thought it would be, fits everywhere i need it too, although the keypad does take some time getting used to.

well enough about nokias! your bluesweep program sounds very impressive, i can't wait to see all its features. keep up the good work and keep bluejacking!

@NetGuy2
hey after reading your post i went straight down to my local t-mobile shop where i originally discovered the hp995c BT printer inside. i searched the device, found it and entered '0' as the pin and yipee it said success and my T68i and the printer successfully paired. but when i tried to send a contact/picture/note/anything via BT it kept saying no devices found. how did you send stuff to the printer? cos it doesnt seem to work.

Posted by punkserb
well instead of sending it to the printer, print it to the printer. type a message or somthing and select print, then via bluetooth and try that. although i think it might show your number, but i could be wrong. good luck!

Posted by Vlammetje
It might be a BAD thing if it showed ur number...

Posted by stebbers
thanks but not sure that my t68i has the 'print' function.

Posted by mkt
It has for sms, but not for pics. If u have to use "print" instead of "send via bluetooth", i wonder how Netguy2 bluejacked printers with photos if there's no such options in pics menu???

Posted by punkserb
YES! I DID IT! my first bluejacking!!! and i did it with a nokia, my new 3650!!! I bluejacked my english teacher's new apple laptop! we were discussing politics and the iraq war and all that stuff. so i sent him a bluetooth contact that said, "you computer is being watched" and "be careful what you say" and said the name was Agent Wall or something like that from the FBI! the look on his face when he finally accepted itseemed like confusion! he stopped talking about it though!
at least i think thats what happened, he is not very expressive and it is hard to tell emotions on him. also, i don't know how apple laptops handle bluetooth contacts, and from a nokia. it failed a few times, but finally it said sent so i'm guessing he accepted. well, i'll consider it a bluejack! we'll see what i can come up with tomorrow!

Posted by fonzki
I was at a restaurant last month and decided to see if people had their bluetooth on. I was able to see like 6 people. 4 w/ names, 2 without. I didn't know i could send stuff to these people from my P800. And then i saw this thread. Good thing i'm in the philippines and this is a haven for bluejacking.

Instead of making a contact, i made a jotter entry saying "CONGRATULATIONS! Present this message @ any ______ branch & get a ________ for free." And another that says "Oooops Sorry! You were just victimized for being a Nokia user. Better phone next time."

Now all i have to do is fill up the corresponding blanks like McDonald's & large french fries. So i can just sit back & watch my victim try to claim his french fries at McDonald's but this guy, using a 7650, i saw at lunch was wise. He rejected my jotter.txt note twice.

I even saw a 6310i & that got me excited coz they were supposed to receive contacts immediately. But no luck.

Better experiment more on my P800

What I did It was to select the picture and send it via Bluetooth and it worked fine. Maybe your printer was blocked or something special.

What i can say you that it was too funny!!

Posted by mkt
So u don't need to use "print", simple "send via bluetooth" is enough! Now all i have to do is find some BT printer, and i think i know where

@fonzki I REALY LIKED THAT ABBREVIATION OF SARS.......classical mate I will use that on my blue jacking now cheers....
