Its been agessssssssssss since ajack has posted anything sumthin like three pages but in such a busy thread its only about 3days!
I went out yesterday cinema tried to get some brickhead victims , found nothing, even outside everysingle foneshop; nothing.

Hi people, just spent the whole evening reading this entire thread...and i know what i'm gonna be doing tomorrow!!!
Just got a T68m replacement via orange care cos my last one started saying "No Access" and could randomly not make calls
so i need to take this for a firmware upgrade pronto - it's got original T68m firmware R2A!!! It sux!! And seeing as i'll be hanging around a busy phone shop, i'll sniff out some 7650's for a bit of bluejacking...

I know you guys have asked me about starting up a website(s) about this and that I have been rather resistant to the idea. However, since you guys keep bringing it up and the fact that santini has been rather convincing at trying to get support, I think it would be nice if you both started your bluejacking website. Since chrisgray999 did ask me before santini (read this thread) maybe you guys can prepare your websites and launch the website at the same time.
Just an idea of coz. Trying to be fair and such. Tell me when you are ready to start your site and I'll announce it on my website (plus you guys will of coz updates us all here in esato). This is all of coz just a suggestion, but do try to redirect people to this thread instead of starting seperate threads.

Great work with the PDF-file ajack! For the first time I now read about bluetooth being able to send and recieve over a distance of a hundred metres. This is ntohing that is possible to manage after a software update huh? That would need an hard ware update, wouldn't it? And that is probably nothing that is worth to do... Do we just have to wait until there are new phones wirh this technology awailable?

We (Playahata & Menace) Bluejacked in Brighton, UK today. We had SH*T loads of hits aswell
The best area we found was in the indoor shopping centre, also there were about 5 phone shops in there too so that helped.
Fisrt i made a business card with the name 'nice arse!' stood outside the footlocker shop and managed to send it to a Nokia user, i heard the bleep bleep and saw a lady (good job it was a lady!) take her phone out of her handbag - she was standing right next to me with her boyfriend - her face was a picture, she showed her boyfriend and they both looked totally baffled! I could hardly keep from laughing
We made other messages like 'HMV - free CD with any DVD today' and got about 3 of those through to some bricks.
LOL you should have seen us, this guy was walking through the shopping centre having a conversation on one of those Nokia camera bricks and we both were following him trying to 'jack' him. Couldnt detect his phone though, is it possible when they are in a call?
Best hits we got were at the Carphone warehouse, right next to an alleyway. We were able to send
messages through the wall to the geek serving customers then walk into the shop and see his face, man that was funny, we must have sent him about 4 messages the poor bloke. He did look puzzled. We even managed to keep finding the 'PC' at the Carphone Warehouse but wouldnt let us connect to it - now that would have been even better!.
All in all a good couple of hours 'wasted' on a Saturday afternoon!
Be back to Brighton soon to
jack some more.

I think that you can not get nokias when they are in a phone call. I tried it today - outside a geek store - and i couldnt find them.
of course in aussie people are povo and so there arent very many BT enabled nokias floating around anyways.

3 confirmed Nokias: 6310 / 6310i / 7650 and an unconfirmed "phone", which became a bluejack MASSACRE, by the way!!! sent him three contacts straight!
i normally sit in the center smoker tables of the restaurant areas and get zilch, but this time i sat in the non smoker section and i kicked ass!?!
this is weird 'cause this section is not at the center of the room, as would be advisable to any bluejacker... it's precisely on the edge of the restaurant area... which by the way is BIG - 'bout 120x50 meters. can't quite understand this... if anybody has any idea why, please tell!
i refuse to believe that today i just got lucky, u know...

@boyi: hi m8! Some say that bluetooth range is better in newer SWs (at least from r2e which u had before), but those are rather subjective feelings - don't expect miracles. I guess we need to wait 4 new BT standard. Imagine 100m bluejacking

Surely only the other phones with 100m ranges will be affected ie you couldn't bluejack a brick from 100m anyway because the brick only has a 10m range. I dunno correct me if i'm wrong but.
At least tho if everyone adopted the 100m range now that would be fun

I don't think that both need to have 100 m range.
If 1 phone has 100m range than another phone with 10m will be able to detect it since the 1st one will send its signal at 100m distance and data may be exchanged.

Well, how would the 100 meter device now about the 10 meter device if they are 90 meters appart..I mean the 10 meter device would have to transfer its id, but that would only reach 10 meters...on the other hand if you have the id of another device you now that they are within range. Maybe there is a "broadcasting mode" meaning that you can send out data to any bluetooth device within your covered area without the discovery sequence. That could be usefull in buejacking...
