Guys, be nice when you bluetooth send something. Don't want to annoy these people just telling them there is something better out there (called Sony Ericsson).

I can't wait until I next go into the city and do this

Posted by mkt
kaHjOs: how did u connect to another t68i? Doesn't it have to have "Discoverable" function turned on? Cause i tried today to connect to another t68 lying on the desk (with blue led blinking, so bluetooth was on) and I failed....

Posted by Raptor
LOL!:-DThat was a good one! :-)

Posted by volvoman
to KaHJOs Nokia are Made in Finland not sweden only the best phones are made in sweden OK I know that they don't make them there anymore before I get corrected but you guy's know what I mean any way all of you have a great Xmas and an even better new year

Posted by 2tangy
Yes that phone has to be made "Discoverable" first before anyone else can find it.

Posted by mkt
That's what i thought, and thats what makes the story less possible.

Posted by yapliren
what you all think Phone will be ? t68 discover my msi bluetooth mb module as phone too. I did that when I celebrating christmas at Genting Highland. Found 2 bricks and a Phone.

Posted by yapliren
It is possible for Nokia phones cause they are always discovorable. It is not possible for t68i cause it is discovorable for 3 mins when switch it to be discovarable. It can't be discover in always on operation mode but you can use paired device when the operation mode is on

Posted by 2tangy
Yes, as Yapliren say... all current Nokia phones that have bluetooth at the moment are discoverable all the time, whereas SE phones can only be discoverable if the user activates this.

So, if you go and do a bit of bluetooth device hunting in say a busy shopping centre or on a crowded commuter train you are more likely to find Nokia phones because they are always discoverable, hence you can send them abusive business cards

well having read this thread, i came up with my own naughty plan tonight.

i was in a night club in bristol, england, and my girlfriend decided to pester the dj to play he r favourite song. this went on for about an hour untill i realised that propped up onthe dj consol was a nokia brick (the type that has bluetooth and a shitty camera). remembering this thread i decided to see if he had bluetooth activated. he did. game on.

a little message sent from round the corner, reminding him that he had a finnish brick, and a request for my birds favourite song (unfortunately the new Blue song) sent as a contact via BT, ended up with him announcing to the whole night club that "yes nokia's are shit but bluetooth rules... enjoy blue mr Blue Tooth..."

i think that should go down as another sucess for esato and BT...

I thank you...

Posted by legallypogi
I did the same thing last nyt at d bar!

Glad my post turned out to be helpful to others. Any other naughty/BlueTooth stories out there?

Posted by jellyellie
i dont have blue tooth on my phone. i dont mid, because that would be all i use it for.

Posted by jellyellie
*mind

Posted by minty
woohoo...this is fun....i did it today to a salesman in the orange shop, i stood outside the shop whilst he was selling a nokia to someone, sent him a BC telling them to buy SE....heh heh heh

Keep it up...

wowzers!!!! tried the trick in a local cineplex while watching Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers......managed to haunt 5 brick owners with the message: Buy A SonyEricsson!!

......i think i managed to ruin the entire show for those 5 blokes......hahahahaha and its such a swell movie.......

SUPER COOL TRICK MAN!!!

Posted by Krubach
Hi guys,

I already tried this trick and i had a lol.
Unfortunately i could only do that with a Fukia 6310i. Once I found a Fukia 7650 and tried to send it the card, but my t68i kept saying "connecting" for a while and then fails that transmission.

A week before that i tried to send some pics to a friend's Fukia 7650 and i couldn't! It had the same behaviour described above. What's wrong?!?!?! Is there come kind of "transmission lock" in the 7650?

Has my t68i any firmware problem?

Besides that, you should see the guy's face looking at the phone and looking around !

Posted by iyan
I also tried the tricks but my connection always failed! Could you help me?

Posted by kelvins
I seriously must try that... ahahh never thought of doing that too!!! To the Brick Phone!!

Posted by ajack
Sometimes... Happines comes from the little pleasures in life. :-)

Posted by punkserb
thats awesome that you guys can do this, i wish i could. here in the US practically no one knows what bluetooth is, and even less people actually have it. nonetheless, i'll still end up trying this next time i'm downtown. awesome work everyone!

Posted by mj36
id try this out if only anybody else at my school would buy a more up to date phone...

like a t68i

Posted by fijbert
lol..
unfortunnately, no one here in montreal is technologically advanced enuff to even hv IR.. so just forget about BT..
they r all using their worn out brick, I mean 3390

Posted by shithappens
had a hulluva fun time repeating the trick on new year's day at a mall here (kl).....dem brick users are so outta it and ignorant.....i'm surprise how many folks simply leave the bt on as default on the 7650......

Posted by mkt
At last! Found someone with BT on... Two days ago I saw a fat girl playing with 6310i in a restaurant. First thing i thought of, was this thread. So, i gave it a try, and guess what! Few second later she recieved "PLZ DON'T EAT ME!" contact. She was sooo angry

lol

Posted by cyanx7
youse guys have all the fun!!!

i'm gonna try that in my country - my signature really applies in Portugal...

GONNA GIVEM HELL!!!

Posted by ajack
Can you tell me who your victims are? I have positively identified N7650 and N6310i models...

Posted by NokiaKilla
I wonder why? How come that they dont know how their BT is activated? In you can see the icon on the righthand side. I cant remember with my bro 6310i, he swap it and now he got T68.

Posted by 2tangy
other names for fake contacts...

I.P.Freely

Seymour Butts

Phil McCrutch (variation of McCrackin)

Posted by cyanx7
I didn't catch anyone off guard yet...
guess Portugal isn't the high tech country it's supposed to be

Posted by ajack
That or Portugese brick (nokia) users there have been reading these forums and switching their bluetooth off. Nah! They most probably don't live on the bleeding edge and only have fashion phones to show off to their friends (do they have any friends?).

Posted by Prom1

Posted by ajack
I love the receipients too.

Posted by ste_dexter
We need a name for this!
Had a few people in the pub last nite!
All posers and as i know more than them about phones they were all asking me what the hell was going on!
Dint tell them the whole truth.
How about calling it ajacking?
Since it was ajack who started this thread.
Or how about something made from the key presses you can use as a shortcut to discover other bt phones. 843. something like vifing?

I call it \"bluejacking\" a phone. :-D

Posted by jellyellie
vifing and ajacking both sound pretty cool. hey, we could have a thread to vote on which is the best name, or if people have any other suggestions?

Posted by ste_dexter
bluejacking sounds good to me.
Drive Through mc donalds just got "bluejacked" today by me.
some ones 7650 asked if they wanted fries with that.

Posted by kallingen
It might go here in sweden.. IŽll give it a shot sometime in town, on a cafe or something.

I Live in Karlstad, Sweden

Posted by ajack
@kallingen - good luck on your bluejacking campaign and tell us the results of your adventures...

Posted by shithappens
gonna haf me some fun....gonna bluejack some poor b**tard nokia users at the airport 2morrow!!! gonna hit all dem unsuspecting nokia folks in kk too....hehehehehehe.......nokia "connecting people"...yeah right!!! nokia creates the handset...SE connects the dorks!! err!! i mean dots!!!

Posted by Prom1
Has any1 got a got date doing a bluejack?

Posted by cyanx7
I did it!!!! The same way as shithappens did

In tha movies - lord of the rings 2 towers!!!!
I remembered what shithappens posted before and did it
found a 6310 and another one named "phone" (very obvious really...). The clever guy with tha "phone" disapeared from my scanners - but i still got tha 6310
Actually, aren't 6310 the greatest bluejackin' victims EVER :?
I sent him something like this (translated): U call THIS a phone? Really? - Then in the e-mail contact: @_buy_1_SONY_ERICSSON_U_TWERP!
He turned off in a way that i didn't understand after getting the contact. it was strange my detected his phone but all communications failed - didn't know they could do that... must have an unreceptive setting or something

THIS IS SOOOO CHILDISH!!!!

I JUST LOVE IT
can't help it
